Today was my co-worker Jimmies last day at SPAWAR. As of 1:30 today he is officially 100% retired! I'm so happy for him, he will get to spend time with his family especially getting to travel with his wife.
Wednesday we had a party for him with tons of food and a little ceremony.
Tons and tons of food!!!
The man of the hour, he felt so humbled and blessed.
Both of his cakes! He is a HUGE cardinals fan and he is known for giving out Hershey kisses!
I ended up leaving before the ceremony due to tummy issues from the Advocare Max Phase (more on that later). Anywho I heard it was so special. He got 2 flags one flown over the Capitol and SPAWAR the other flown over the white house apparently a gift card and a few other items.
Today I walked into work and this is what I saw when I rounded the corner haha he is a nut!! I took his picture because it's the perfect way to remember him. One fact about him, he is currently battling cancer for I believe the 4th time and the fact that he still is so happy and always at work is just admirable. He's a trooper!
2 of our admins made him this because he loves him some Mt. Dew!
The payroll crew :) Christine and I will definitely miss him! He is crazy and a wealth of knowledge but he said we can handle it so I hope he is right!!
Here's to new adventures and me learning new things haha because it will happen with more work load now!
Today we observed memorial day, a day to remember those what have served and continue to serve and provide the freedom most of us take for granted. Thank you so much!
This morning we got up and got pretty/handsome to go take family pictures. We met up with everyone near a huge white house on the old part of the navy ship yard. This area of Charleston has so much character, I love it.
Kayce doing her thing!
That is one cool baby!
Me and the girl who made me an aunt, love her!
Alayna wanted her picture just like Lolas!
Me and my chevron dress I bought a year ago and it didn't fit, it does now! :)
After pictures and a good ole meltdown by Logan we headed home but first grabbed some chick-fil-a for lunch because we didn't feel like making anything.
I went to the gym for almost an hour then got the kids and went to the pool. Dave wasn't feeling well so I figured he could rest in a nice quiet apartment.
It wasn't very sunny so I stayed in my regular clothes while they played.
The kiddos went to mommy around 4 and we have been just relaxing. I think if Dave can get off work we will get them again Wednesday night for more fun and craziness. :) PLUS we get to celebrate Alayna turning 5 on saturday! Lots of fun to be had before they head up north.
I hope yall enjoyed your weekend as much as we did. It definitely had its crazy moments lol
Tons of pictures in this post, who am I kidding there always is.
So still on my weight loss program down to 141.5 this morning and felt skinny for the first time really in awhile. I have felt my body changing but the word skinny felt nice to feel. Now if only that pooch would start going away faster!!! Ugh!!!
We got this kids some breakfast and then they played for awhile. Daddy built them an awesome fort and they loved it.
I remember making forts all the time as a kid and they were awesome. What kid doesn't love them?
We got dressed then Dave drove the girls to the park and Logan and I rode our bikes and met them.
We all stopped at one of the bigger ponds to look for an alligator and we saw him. He was on the grass with his mouth open on the other side and it was so neat. Then all of a sudden he ran into the water and was swimming fast. Logan and I ran and the gator stopped. I am wondering if he planned for us to be his breakfast until we ran. Hmmm no thanks, not in the mood to be the eaten Mr. Gator.
We went on an adventure at the park to this little stream then headed home for lunch and some relaxing.
Shannon and Lola came over to go to the pool with us. It wasn't super sunny so it wasn't really hot.
The sequence of events of the girls jumping in the pool.
This shot of Logan is awesome!!! Dave threw him to catch a frisbee, he loved it. I am soooo glad they are getting this time with Dave. I won't lie it's been tough because Logan has been acting out which I can only assume is because he isn't handling this move thing easily. We are just planning to have as much fun as possible and hope he goes back to our normal well behaved Logan.
Tomorrow morning we are doing some family pictures which I am thrilled for! I hope they turn out awesome! Then we may go by my parents house then end the day at the pool before the kids leave. We will see how the day turns out!
