Christmas weekend

I was wondering if I would ever get the motivation to type this up! Well bored at work so I found it! :)

So friday night my friend Laura asked me to go out downtown to go dancing. I was apprehensive but when she said she wasn't drinking I was game! We ended up going out with some of her friends and then randomly later we weren't with them anymore. We ended up at Henry's one of my favorite places downtown and got a free drink from the bouncer. Well reason being as we were walking into the bar I got pushed by a drunk man who just got kicked out of Henry's. Bouncer saw it, followed us inside and got us both a free drink! Good times! We ran into one of our friends from earlier in the night and started chatting. Well behind Laura there was a mirror so I could see the guy behind me and he kept looking in our direction. So a few minutes later he taps my arm and asks if I am ready for Christmas.. I say no not really and then continue talking to my friends. He then taps my arm again and like an @$$ says so did you just blow me off is that what just happened? REALLY?? If you get blown off accept it and move on don't make a fool out of yourself by asking if I just blew you off. Dude I am talking to my friends leave me alone. Yeah he pissed me off and then we started laughing and he eventually left... I could still see him in the mirror and he was NOT happy. All I have to say is this... I am not looking for a dude especially a jerk like that. He obviously has issues... I still have my eyes on someone else and if that doesn't work out then I am just staying single for awhile. Come to think of it I have been single for almost an entire year now. Crazy! and my last bf I dated for like a month so if we don't count that it has been more like 2 years almost! blah! Here are 2 pics from Friday night! It was fun and we only ended up drinking one drink and a shot! Not too bad! I can handle this drinking in moderation thing.

In front of the Christmas tree at Molly Darcy's

Saturday I went to the gym and chilled most of the day. Spent the evening with someone special watching Christmas movies and eating pizza! I love nights like that.... chilling on the couch with a good movie! To me there really is nothing better!

Sunday was obviously Christmas so it was a fun filled family day! We had the fam come over at 1 and did Christmas lunch and opened presents. It was really nice to spend time with the family. I even went to see my Grammy and Aunt Theresa later since they didn't make it over to the house! Grammy is doing better since her surgery but still not up to par enough to leave the house. Luckily I left when I did because when I got home mom and dad had a gift for me and my sisters. We all got Ipad2's and they are AWESOME! Now that I got that I am thinking of selling my laptop because I really see no use for it anymore. Since the Icloud will connect my Iphone and Ipad I don't need to hook them up to the laptop to do the downloads. Pretty sweet!! Thanks mom and dad I loooooovvvvvveeee my Ipad and will take very good care of it. ESPECIALLY since I got me an awesome Hello Kitty case for it! Do not judge me lol I can't help it that I am almost 25 (on Saturday) and still like Hello Kitty! :D

My awesome stocking my grammy made me when I was a baby

Another awesome new beanie! I am loving these this "winter"

Cousins (Kimberly, Amanda and me) Love these girls!

Grammy and me! It is a blurry picture but still worth putting up!

Aunt Theresa and me! I love how grammy is sticking her head around to be in our picture! haha

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got to spend time with the ones you love! Dad did make me sad though by saying it was probably our last Christmas at this house. Let me just add this in... I have never spent a Christmas anywhere else. I guess we will just have to make new memories in the new house! But I will miss the heck out of this house but it is in the end just a house! I feel like I just said the word house a million times well I guess TYPED it a million times! My next post will probably be about my birthday...I still can't believe I will be 25 on Saturday... where has the time gone. I feel like it was just yesterday I turned 12 and kept telling mom that I had reached the double digits with my age. yes I thought it was cool! haha

Anywho, Have a wonderful day!!!

Best gift ever

Thank you Mom and Dad for such a great gift. All three of us sisters got one and it was definitely a surprise! So far I really like it. Especially for playing games! It's easier to play on a bigger tablet than my iPhone! Today I am going to go find a case for it so I don't break the thing lol I am a clutz so I need to get a good case for it. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Off to shop I go :)

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is...Singing Loud for all to hear ( I love that movie "Elf")

2. The thing I love most about Christmas is....spending time with the fam and getting to eat lots of yummy food.

3. The holiday season is a time for....spending time with those you love, shopping and of course remembering the real reason for it all Jesus

4. My favorite thing to eat at the holidays is.....Sweet Potato Casserole YUMMM

5. I will be spending Christmas with ...My family

6. Tis better to (give or receive?) ... I say give. I mean I like to recieve don't get me wrong but I prefer giving and getting to see if the people like what I gave them.

I was right...

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend... mine wasn't too shabby! Here is a bit of a re-cap!

Friday night my plan was to stay home. My friend Laura turned 23 on Thursday and wanted to go out downtown to celebrate which of course would involve drinking. I couldn't ditch her for her birthday just because I am scared for life from some recent events so of course I went. I had fun with her but I just am over the whole "party" scene like I said in one of my recent posts. Now I am not giving up drinking entirely like I said but I just am scared to ever be drunk again. It's just not in the cards for me. Anywho we went downtown and had dinner at Social which was YUMMMMMMY! We both got pizza and then we shared a dessert which was warm chocolate cake with peanut butter and caramel. Heaven in your mouth people!!! Then we ended up the rest of the night at a few other places. I had one beer and did a birthday shot with her but honestly I didn't even want those but people kept making me feel awkward for not having even one drink. Yes I gave into peer pressure I know, ridiculous! One guy kept asking me why I wouldn't drink and I kept telling him it's personal... but he was relentless. Why do people do this?? I thought peer pressure was supposed to only be a high school thing but nope these people were over 30! Enough of that little rant haha Here are some pictures because Laura got picture happy! I didn't even get all of them because there were some that I don't ever want to see. Like the one with the creepiest guy EVERRRRRR who owned one of the bars who Laura made me take a picture with! AHHH!

Self pic before heading out

So we parked at a fire station because we could and it was free and ended up playing around for a few! Interesting yet creepy stuff in there. This truck was in complete darkness... freaked me out!

Laura on one of the old steam engines.

Eh gotta try it out! haha

Bathroom at NV. Good times.... hmmm

Out of order picture but this was on the way downtown. And Can I just say I am loving my super long straight hair!

Bad picture of me but I had to include it! Whats up Santa!

Laura and I at Molly Darcys. Where we spent most of the evening.

Saturday I spent shopping with my sister, hit the gym, did laundry and stayed home the entire night. Mom and I did decorate the Christmas tree finally.

Sunday I woke up early and went to church with Kelly and Derikface. We went to Newspring and can I just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE this church. The pastor is hilarious and always has everyone laughing. I love that because I am severely ADD when it comes to things like that but he keeps me entertained and I actually learn. Oh and I love the music although sitting in front of the speakers is not a good idea. Just saying. Mental note for next time! We had lunch and then chilled after church then I went to the gym. Oh and I went out to dinner with someone and had a pretty good time. It had been awhile so I was scared it would be completely awkward but it wasn't yay! I really really really care about this someone so I just pray nothing messes it up again. I know I am doing my best to keep the drama GONE and keep him around this time. not getting into all that lol I am pretty sure I could type out an entire page of all that stuff. Mainly my feelings... haha I swear I used to not have all of these feelings but lately I do its overwhelming!!

Ok back to work!!! Have a wonderful day!!

a little randomness

Just a little bit of randomness for you guys...

by the way I just realized 52 people follow my blog and I know others read it without following. How crazy is that?? Who would of thought someone would find me at all interesting haha anywho!

This past week has definitely had its ups and downs! All I can say is if God leads you to it he will lead you through it and he has definitely been my buddy this week! haha is that weird to call God my buddy? eh maybe! I am just kinda done with a certain phase of life I guess you could say... Just ready for the next Chapter! I think Ashley was surprised when I told her this last night haha

On Wednesday I got to go see Norrissia and Nevaeh after work. We went walking around her neighborhood which was nice since the weather was perfect. Every now and again it is nice to skip the gym and do my cardio outside. Plus being in the company of a great friend makes it even better. I sure wish she lived closer and I wish Ashley lived closer! They are both like 40+ minutes from my house so it is always a planned adventure to visit them. But seriously how freaking cute is Nevaeh she is such a happy baby even though the first pic doesn't show it

I saw these decorations in front of someones house on our walk and I loved it!! I want a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree for realz!

Yesterday was our work Christmas party/birthday celebrations! Since my birthday is in December I got a yummy cake! It was peanut butter on the bottom and chocolate chip on the top! I love me some cookie cake!!! The rest of the party was good. Lots of yummy food and good company. I always feel like it gives us an opportunity to get to know eachother and not talk about work. Well not entirely about work... hey it comes up we can't control it!

One last thing.... I posted this picture last week but I am thinking about a day or two up in Asheville for my birthday. I just need to see if I can get some company to go with me. After what has gone down lately I just don't know that I want to do the whole bar scene for my birthday. I really want to kind of stay away from it for a bit. Nothing good can come from it anymore. I thought about just going out dancing at Suede and drinking wine only (2 glass limit) haha but most places are charging on my bday(NYE) anyway. Decisions decisions decisions....

Told you this was RANDOM!

Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!! Not really sure what mine holds as of now... but it will be fun! Pretty sure my friend Kristen is coming in town and wants to go to Chuck-e-cheese... yeah you read that right! haha

Feeling Festive

I am not sure about you guys but I have had a hard time getting in the Christmas Spirit this year. I have had a lot going on though so I guess maybe that's why! BUT this past weekend I finally found my Christmas Spirit!

Here's a bit of a weekend recap with some pictures!

Friday night was a stay at home night. I had planned to stay in bed and just watch movies... thats pretty much what my week consisted of. (BAAAAAD week for this girl... can we say depressed) anywho... my sister and bro in law had a Christmas party to attend so we had the girls. Well mom decided to do gingerbread houses with them so I hopped in and helped. They did a pretty darn good job for being 5 and 2. Izzy was VERRRRY into it which I found surprising. I helped Lola do her house and can I just say MESSY! gosh I had green and white frosting all over my hands. Thank God for soap and water! After we got done I did end up in bed watching movies so I would say it was a success.

Izzy... Please make note of the frosting on her face

My little Lolly Rolly Polly... although really she isn't so little anymore... sad times

She was crying because Nina took away the icing for all of 5 seconds... haha

This was Lola's finished house! Not bad right?

Saturday I had a massage scheduled for the morning. Who wouldn't want a massage after a horrible week! It was just what I needed my back felt so much better after that! So I met up with my Aunt and my Uncles sister in law for some shopping! I actually got 4 people done for Christmas I still have a couple more mainly kids to buy for. It's hard buying people gifts when you have no clue what to get them. Anywho.. we ended up downtown at one of my favorite hotels to look at their Christmas decorations. The hotel is called The Charleston Place Hotel they always have beautiful trees! I didn't go upstairs to check but when I was younger the second floor had trees all over the place. They were always decorated with different themes and were always so gorgeous. After I shopped with the ladies I met up with Laura for dinner at The Mustard Seed which was SO yummy then we ended the night watching Friends with Benefits. Can I just say I loved this movie??? Mila Kunis made me officially want to be a brunette again... I think! :) Oh and I can't forget the dessert we got to go so we could pig out and watch the movie! Good times!

If you know me at all you know I love love love trains so I had to get my picture with their awesome train display!

Gorgeous, right?

Sunday I woke up early and went to church with mom and dad. Thats one thing I have decided I need to do is go to church. Last week made me realize SOOOO much about myself and one of them was a lack of church in my life... it always makes me feel so much better! Anywho... we went to Costco and to see Papa after church so that was nice. I always enjoy getting to see my Papa! I hit the gym not long after we got home for a much needed hard workout. My legs are still sore! Later I ended up going to Twist with Laura, Amanda and Richard to eat dinner and watch the packers kick butt. I normally only like sports live but I got really into that game! OH and one more thing I bought Kodie a hoodie!!! Check out the picture and I swear he likes it!

It looks like he is sticking his tongue out at me! haha

Laura and I before the game!

haha silly picture! Gotta love it!

Last week was TOUGH can I just say REALLLLLY TOUGH! I really messed up something... but you know with every hard time you go through it is a learning experience. I learned a lot about myself last week... I have decided to no longer drink liquor... trust me this is for the best! I really don't think I will drink much anymore to be honest but if I do it will be only beer and wine! I learned that I am kinda over the "party" stage... NO MORE DRAMA either.... I almost let someone back in my life but I quickly realized why I can't...I also learned I need to be careful who I trust... I trust WAY too easily sometimes that would be me trying to see the good in everyone... I am ready to settle down and be serious with someone..... and like I said before I really want to start going to church more and better my walk with God. I really feel like things can only go up from here... I thank God for everyone who has been supportive of me and just been there through all my ups and downs! Up Up and away....

Ok enough of the emotional stuff haha I like to keep things happy but I also use this as a bit of a venting place too! Sorry guys haha don't mean to torture you!

Back to the switchboard I go... or shall I say back to playing bejeweled on my phone! Tetris has been kicked to the curb... for now! :)

Sara :)
