Girls Weekend

This weekend basically turned into a girls weekend. Unplanned of course! well some of it anyway! Friday night I ended up going to Suede to dance with Nor, Laura, Kelly and some of Nors friends! We had a good time although there weren't that many people and there were some creepy guys there. Laura and I left and ended up going to one of our favorite places NV. It was packed but it was so much fun! We took a ton of pictures from that night so sorry for picture overload.

We got home around 2am but I didn't get to sleep until around 4. I slept in as late as I could but I had to get up to get ready to go to Amandas Bridal Tea in Summerville. It was a lot of fun and my first tea experience. After we did the tea we all went back to her moms house to make jewelry for the wedding. I had never made any jewelry before and it was actually kinda fun. We made necklaces, bracelets and earings. There is a picture at the bottom of allll the other pictures!
I had to take a picture of this crazy fern person! How cool is that??

The Bridal Party! Jen, April, Amanda (the bride), Laura and me.
This was the entire group that went!

She got us really cute bags for our gifts. I LOVE this pattern so I was very excited!

Today I woke up late and hit the gym! I needed a bit of a detox from the weekend and I definitely got to sweat it out! Later I met up with Kelly for coffee and girl talk. We ended up staying at Starbucks for over 2 hours! We had a lot to catch up on :) now its time to relax and find something good to watch on tv!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!

Wonderwall

Happy Thursday! The week is almost over and let me just say I have never been more ready in my entire life. One of my co-workers had her last day today and I will be taking over a lot of her responsibilities and holy cow it's a lot. Nothing is HARD it is just a ton of work. I am definitely taking this one day at a time and hopefully it won't stress me out.

So last night Laura and I were both pretty bored sitting at home and decided to go out and walk the beach. One of my favorite things to do when the weather is nice. So we walked a little bit on the beach and then headed over to Ritas one block back from the beach. It was absolutely amazing on the patio there. Good food, great drinks, AMAZING music and good company. All of those things equal a great night out after a loooooooonnnnnnngggg day at work. The two guys play there every wednesday night and it is all acoustic and they are seriously amazing! I loved every single song they played. I think this will be the new place for girls night out. We ended the night around 10 because it looked like the weather was going to get bad. It got bad sometime after midnight and stormed most of the night. Lets just say this girl did not get much sleep so early to bed for me tonight. We did take a few pictures oh and I am including the lyrics to my favorite song of the evening.

This has nothing to do with last night but I love this picture. I took it one morning on my way to work. I am going to miss seeing this view when I move in a month. Oh yeah im moving in a month :)
Cheesing when we got to Ritas
Strawberry Margarita which was very yummy

The lovely view from Blu of the pier

I hope you guys have a great weekend! I will try and post Sunday!! there is a lot going on so I will have something to blog about :)

Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you shoulda, somehow, realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now

Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now

And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how

Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall

Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now

And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

Bulls Island South Carolina

So looks like I took another blogging break! This time was not on purpose however. They changed blogger and it only works from my home laptop which I don't use all that often. Well it looks like I will have to start using it huh? :)

A few saturdays ago my friend and workout buddy Shannon headed to Bulls Island South Carolina. It was about a 40 minute drive from James Island. A few friends of mine had gone before and said it was a must do experience. SO we went!

You take a 30 minute ferry ride from the landing which was beautiful first thing in the am. Oh and the ferry left the landing at 9am. We got to the island and decided to explore the island before we hit the beach. Let me just say BAD IDEA!! We were all alone mind you because everyone else headed right to the beach. So here we are 2 girls alone in the woods haha nothing bad happened besides being seriously attacked by horse flies and mosquitos. We were losing our minds and it was hot and we were over it. Not to mention our legs and shoes were covered in dirt by this point. We decided to head to the beach. I will say if the bugs were not bad we would have spent a ton more time hiking in the woods but there was just NO way. I think if you had a bee suit or something like it you would be good to go. So we headed to the beach and on the way we got to see some gators. That was really cool we even saw a baby gator just chillen in the water. So we got to the beach which they named Boneyard Beach. This makes everything we went through before worth it. It was absolutely beautiful and so quiet. One thing I should mention the only way to this island is the ferry and not many people go. So you basically see nobody the whole time well most of the time anyway. We ended up laying on the beach for awhile eating our yummy oranges. Then we explored the beach and seriously it was just like nothing I had ever seen before. We spent more time on the beach but we did explore the island a little more before we left. So we were headed back to catch the 4pm ferry. Yes we were out there from 9-4. So we are walking making sure the gators are not moving and I about stepped on a darn snake! Shannon ended up throwing things at it and we waited for it to move. So we continued on our way to the ferry. We saw 2 more snakes on the way. Keep in mind this is 3 snakes in a 10minute time frame. NO THANKS! by the time we saw the 3rd snake I was DONE. I wanted off the island! haha Once we got to the car all we could think about was food. We talked about food for most of the way home so we ended up getting the biggest fry wendys could provide and chowed down on the way home.

I would say this is a definite must do attraction in Charleston. But take lots of water and bug spray oh and wear very comfy shoes! You will literally walk and walk and walk! Below are all the pics we took throughout the day! Such a great time and I really can't wait to do it again! I will just be more prepared next time :)

Well that is all for now! :) I will try and do this more often! Hope you guys are doing wonderfully!! :)
