Sunny days

Guys, seriously, yesterday the weather was fantastic!!! Soaking in all that vitamin D was good for my soul.

I will back track a little then get to Sunday! We got the kids this weekend but they didn't get to the house until late Friday night so they pretty much got baths and straight to bed.
Saturday morning I knew I needed to workout as soon as I woke up or it wasn't going to happen.
Logan had soccer and we kicked the ball around before the boys left to let him warm up. I actually really enjoyed kicking around the ball, it was fun and another form of exercise! Exercise that doesn't feel like exercise is definitely awesome! I think Logan really loved it as well, quality time together!

The boys went to soccer and the girls went to get a hair cut, Alayna not me!
Top is before and the bottom is after, she wanted her hair above her ears but we compromised with shoulder length. She absolutely loves it and it only cost me $11 which was definitely not bad at all.

We went to Hobby lobby later when the boys got home then went to my parents house to hang out after cleaning out some stuff from my sisters garage! I found a box full of pictures, some of them were awesome to see and some not so much so those went in the trash!

Saturday we also stopped at Target and I saw ankle weights so I tried them out Sunday morning! They definitely made a few of my leg exercises a little harder which is GOOD! More calories burned and I am more sore from it!

We went to church then got my car from Costco and headed to my parents house. We stayed outside for quite a few hours washing cars, playing ball and just hanging out! Logan wanted to go inside and play on the Ipad but I told him it was a beautiful day and we were going to go outside and enjoy it! Based off of how dirty his pants were last night I would say he had some fun!

Besides 1 incident involving bubbles and a fish pond it was a great day! Lesson learned, do not leave a 5 year old unattended when there a 5 million things they could get into! ay ay ay!! Not even my kids and they are probably giving me a few grey hairs already. Luckily the fish were saved!

Today is supposed to be 70 and sunny and of course being stuck inside is not my idea of fun but there are bills to be paid so work I must do!

Oh and I almost forgot our soccer ball adventure involving our huge pond at the apartment. Logan wanted so badly to kick around his soccer ball when we got home so I told him if you stay away from the pond then it's fine. I go inside for maybe 15 minutes then notice Logan has no soccer ball near him. Of course when I ask where it is I already knew where it was, so Dave fished it out the pond. THEN Dave decides trying to kick it across the pond to us was a good idea... yeah he had to fish the soccer ball from the pond TWICE! Age wise there are 2 kids at our house but really there are 3, one of them is just legally an adult ;) I told Dave he was going to be put in timeout obviously joking then we get inside and Alayna tells him he forgot to go sit in timeout. Gotta love it!!

I really hope next weekend is warm and sunny, I am ready for winter to be in the rear view mirror!

Our Weekend

This past weekend was a really good one like really good! It might have been because it was finally not freezing outside which I definitely am happy about. Today it is stormy and blah!
Friday night Dave moved our old couch to a friends house because we were getting our new ones delivered Saturday afternoon. It didn't occur to us that we would have no where to sit in our living room until we had to sit on the floor. This was probably a good thing because my nephew came over for a little bit Friday night so there was more room for him to move around. aka we didn't have to worry about him falling into any furniture!
We really enjoyed our Oliver time!

Saturday morning was Logans very first soccer game and he did SO good! I was really proud of how good he did and how he is such a team player! His team won too so I know he was thrilled!
Alayna being silly with her hat!

Team player right here! He was SO excited for his teammate who had just scored a goal!

They did team pictures randomly after the game! The coach looks SO familiar to me but I just can't place it!

We went to the gym after the soccer game then went to Target for groceries!

Around 3:30 our furniture arrived and the guys literally took less than 5 minutes to drop it off and go! We had to play with the furniture a bit to figure out the best placement because I told him it wouldn't fit how we planned but you know he wouldn't listen. I was right ;) BUT we both like the way the living room is set up now for the most part so it's ok!
Our new lights! The one on the left I got for a steal at Kirklands and mom gave me the one on the right because she thought it would look good and it does. Finally I have some good lighting in the apartment, yay!!
This is such a dark picture but you can see how we have it all set up now!

Just a random cute picture of Teddy!

Sunday we did church then hung out with the family! They cooked a delicious dinner as always!! It was like I said a good weekend!!

Last night we had our small group which is geared towards being healthy and there is a weight loss competition. WELL I didn't really care about the weight loss until it became a competition and I was happy to be down 2.1 lbs yesterday! woop woop!! I don't plan to lose a lot but I think this is fun and to have a group just makes it even better! We did the snacks last night and everyone loved what I brought! Cheerio bars for the win!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Valentines and Year 2

I guess now that I actually HAVE a Valentine I really do enjoy this holiday. Obviously in my single years Singlesawarenessday was not my favorite! I know it is just a cheesy holiday and that you should show your loved ones that you love them year round but um chocolate... that's all I will say about that! haha
What Dave got me on the left and what I got him on the right missing this thing for his car that I didn't get a picture of! I should also note this was our valentines and anniversary gifts to each other. He also got me flowers and I made him oreo truffles! Clearly one way to our heart is sugar, amen! Just don't look at that muffin top hanging over my pants this week ;)

Since we had the kids we wanted to get them a little something, we kept it simple but they enjoyed it.

It was reallllllly cold and Dave woke up late so we didn't make it to church, we had a really lazy morning!
Oh you know just passing the time with silly pictures!

The kids bundled up for a little bit and went to ride their scooters and play at the playground. Insane because it was SO cold!
Since it was Valentines day and all I decided to wear my I love my boyfriend shirt that I got on clearance the day after our very first valentines. I was excited to try it on this year because it fit way better than it did when I initially bought it. Non scale victory my friends!

 This kid is just silly!
We went to JI to my parents house the rest of the day and hung out and had a super yummy steak dinner!! I love love love a good steak!!!
We got home, took baths, hung out then bible story time before bed. We finished the book we had so I need to go get another one because they LOVE bible story time!
My aunt tagged me on FB of this picture of my Mama (dads mommy) isn't she beautiful! Her birthday was valentines day, I believe she would have been 89.

Monday was our 2 year anniversary and we had planned to workout eat lunch then take the kids to Monkey Joes but lets just say there must have been a full moon or something because they wouldn't listen for anything.  I don't reward bad behavior with special fun things so we hung out at home the rest of the day. Which honestly was fine with me because the weather was just yucky! Alayna ended up falling asleep on her floor (her bed was taken apart because she peed in it) when does that stop?? Anyway Dave and Logan went out to get hair cuts so I literally had the apartment to myself (besides a passed out Alayna) it was nice! I meal prepped my breakfast for the week and even did a beef tenderloin in the crockpot which turned out AMAZING. I also watched a LOT of tv that afternoon!

I made us take an anniv selfie :)

The kids went home around 5 and we hung out until it was time to go to church which was maybe 30 minutes! We are really enjoying our small group so far, it is geared toward weight loss which overall I really don't care if I lose but I do not want to gain! I am pretty content where I am except for a little extra fluff on my tummy but that is all diet. I just haven't felt as committed to eating super clean/healthy. My meals are good but my snacking is not the best! I am going to work on it but you best believe I am still going to enjoy some chocolate here and there! I am forever a work in progress with this whole weight deal! :) I would say being mostly happy where I am is definitely a good thing!

Overall our 3 day weekend really was great besides a few hiccups on Monday! I think our next holiday is in May so we have awhile before any paid days off! Until next time wonderful 3 day weekend.....
