So much change

First things first, Oliver is 1 today!!!

Happy Birthday to my handsome little nephew!! I truly don't know how a year has already passed. He has been such an awesome addition to our family and I can't wait to see the little man he becomes!Tonight we will be celebrating his birthday with a fun party so after work I have some running around to do. I made his smash cake, blue icing will be everywhere just trust me on this.

And one other thing, I chopped a good 4 inches off my hair and got some color put into it! It looks SOOOOOO much better!!! It was time to get some length off, I will definitely grow it back out but maybe not let it get so long again. I went to a new girl because the girl I normally go to was sick and I think I found my new hair stylist. About $45 cheaper for cut and color and about 5 minutes from my house. Winning!!!

Happy Friday friends!!!

Snow Flurries

Not a whole lot to report from this past weekend BUT we had snow flurries so I have to document it because I am a nerd. I can count on 2 hands how many times I have seen snow in my 29 years of life so it excites me. Dave on the other hand is from Jersey so seeing a snowflake isn't so exciting for him.
I was sound asleep Saturday morning and he comes in all excited Sara it's snowing! Of course he wasn't excited but he knew I would be so he acted all excited for me. It was cute minus the fact that he scared me out of a deep sleep. But like he said if he didn't wake me up I would have been mad lol so I will just accept the whole scaring me out of a dead sleep thing.

It actually was quite "snowy" but almost impossible to get a picture of it. You can see a few flurries in my hair and then all the white specks in the picture with Teddy.
I spent a lot of the morning just laying in bed watching it snow out my window. It was really quiet and peaceful. Dave woke up early so he fell back asleep on the couch, we had no plans for a bit so why not be lazy!

We did our norm and when we came back I thought it just looked cool outside so in true Sara fashion I took a picture. haha
This weekend was pretty lazy we did a lot of nothing, worked out, cooked dinner, watched a lot of tv and went to hang out with my parents for a little bit.

Oh and I am having car problems so my dad is trying to see if he can fix it instead of paying a car repair place to do it. It has shut off on me twice now and that makes me just a little too nervous to drive it until it's fixed. Luckily it has shut off on me in places that were not a big deal. One of them I was in the way of traffic but I was far enough to the side people could go around me. Not a fun time!! So Dave and I are using his car until I get mine back, perk of working together!

Kids next weekend and we have Olivers first birthday party!! I can't believe little man is almost 1!! This year has FLOWN by and I truly mean I feel like I blinked and the year is over.

A few more

I forgot a couple of pictures from Sunday, not super important pictures but I like em! :)
So one thing I am doing this year is switching my workouts up a good bit. I keep reading everywhere to STOP doing cardio. Well let's face it cardio is good for your heart so I won't be stopping BUT I will be decreasing my cardio. So what I have been reading is basically when you do long bouts of steady state cardio you are losing the muscle you worked so hard for in the weight room or wherever you do your weights. I have been really wanting to tone up which I know a huge part of that is diet BUT if cardio is ruining my progress I plan to decrease it. I am however going to start doing more HIIT training (google it) to burn fat. We will see if this really changes it up or not but lets face it I hate cardio so the less I HAVE to do the better! If I can do something more effective in less time or even the same amount of time I am down to try it! I will let ya know how that works out!
Sunday was a cold and rainy morning so we dressed appropriately, I wore a coat don't worry! Daves mom sent the kids these huge winter jackets and Logan was pretty excited to wear it. Perfect day for it!

After church we went by Dicks sporting goods store to see about getting Logan some shin guards for soccer. We were focused on the shin guards then turn around and Alayna was wearing this helmet, silly girl. So of course Logan wanted to try one on as well! They looked hilarious!!

After the sports store it was off to the winter party!

Winter Party

This past Sunday my aunt had a family winter party at her house and we had a blast. I was so worried the rain would ruin the party since it literally rained until about 11:30 that morning but the sun came out and we were good to go!

Family, Food, games and fun!
They were pretending to be cold in front of the yard sign!

The rope swing is always a hit!

We got lots of play time with Oliver, he was being so cute exploring the yard!

I absolutely love this picture of Isabelle, she looks so cute!

Pie face game!! It was quite funny!

Yummy cake accompanied by lots of other yummy foods!
Aunt Shannon with a sleeping bubs!
Playing a marshmallow game which then was followed by chubby bunnies with Isabelle. If you don't know the game basically you put as many marshmallows as you can in your mouth while still being able to say chubby bunny. It was gross and my mouth was DRY but Isabelle and I had fun doing it!

There were even some fireworks and smoke bombs!

We had a really good time, it wasn't crazy but it was a lot of fun!
