Is it summer yet?

Sunday was finally a warm day even though it was cloudy it made me want warm summer days so badly. We did enjoy the warmth though with some time outside.
First up was a workout for me then breakfast. Instead of church at 10:15 we went with the Newmans to the 11:45 service because there was a Newcomers lunch right after. I am not a newcomer but Dave, Mike and Ashley still kind of are and had never attended the lunch. Pastor Chris told me I could come because I had invited them :)
So let's talk about the food for a second. They had amazing fried chicken, Mrs. Janets AMAZING mac n cheese, coleslaw, and rolls. Seriously my taste buds were in heaven! Then they came around bringing us little things of ice cream from Baskin Robbins. Yeah my eating better went out the window and I will say that meal was worth it. Haha
After we ate he had people from different areas stand up and tell us about what they do in the church. Dave was interested in security and I signed up for more info on first impressions (greeting people, directing them to areas etc). We enjoyed our lunch with the Newmans. I love having friends at church it reminds me of back in the day when my parents had a ton of friends at church and we knew everyone. It is not like that now but it can be one day!
How cute are they! Alayna loves her some Jesse!
We headed to my sisters house so Dave could help my dad gut my sisters room because he will be re-doing it for her this week. While they did all that the kids and I headed to the backyard for trampoline fun!! They LOVED the trampoline and stayed there until almost time to  leave. Unfortunately the last 5 mins were not great since somebody jumped off the trampoline WWE style onto their sister. Lol BOYS! Luckily they were both fine minus losing gaming privledges which is the only real punishment to him that means anything.

When we got home Alayna wasn't done playing so her and I walked over to the little park area at the apartment. She had fun for a good 15minutes but there were a lot of crazy kids playing and it was making me nervous.
So we walked around and decided to see how cold the pool is. Her face will tell you it was COLD! I had no plan to put my feet in but she insisted so I did.
We headed back home, hung out, had dinner then Dave took them to their mom. We had a pretty good weekend with them. Next time they are here we will be doing a little birthday celebration for Logan. I think he will enjoy it, I know the cake will be awesome, there will be pizza and a few friends! :) what more do you need? We are hoping the weather is nice so they can all go out and play but if not the apartment has plenty of toys!

Speaking of weather, it's tuesday and wr had a delayed entry to work (10am) because of "freezing" rain which I donmt think has even showed up yet. That's ok I enjoyed waking up later, taking my time getting ready and grabbing chikfila for breakfast!

Hopefully the rest of the week won't be so gloomy but we shall see! I want some sunshine!

Some Saturday fun

This picture is from Friday but I liked it, the boys eating their ice cream :)

Saturday morning I woke up at 6:45.... yeah I guess I am an adult now because I seriously wake up early most days. It is rare for me to actually sleep past 8 besides last Sunday when it was like 9.  I played on my phone then the kids were up and I decided to be nice to Dave and let him sleep until 9. So I got them breakfast and we hung out for a bit, I even painted Alaynas nails which she loved. I also may have bribed her that if she ate her breakfast she could wear her halloween costume. It worked! haha
One thing about Alayna which I think is funny is how often this chick says my name. I probably heard her say Sara or Hey Sara a good thousand times lol
Once Dave woke up I took Teddy on a walk, *see below* I was just not in the mood for the gym but definitely didn't want to just not do anything. It was better than nothing that is for sure and Teddy loves getting to go for those long walks. You know he gets to see other people, dogs and pee on everything in sight. haha
After I cooked us lunch Dave and the kids headed to a park and I headed to James Island to hang with the fam. I ended up getting into a James Bond movie with dad before everyone and I mean everyone came over. haha there was a house full of people. Krystal and Oliver came over so we got some time with them. Then Dave and the kids showed up, THEN my Aunt Christine, cousins Kimberly and Amanda, Amandas baby Adriana. THEN my Aunt Theresa, Aunt Susan and grammy got there. Yeah I told you I meant everyone, ok not EVERYONE but yeah a good bit of the family. It was really nice to be with them all for a few hours. We got some quality family time in.

This little girl was loving her some baby time. She held both babies and kept asking to hold them again. She was in love, of course I don't blame her because I definitely am too.

I love this picture minus her finger in her ear. Pretty sure she may have an ear infection now because she has been messing with it all day today (sunday). Future cousins watching some tv with my dad.

Theresa's first time holding Mr. Oliver. Then after she held him she told Alayna that she is the best babysitter because if she babysits and you want cookies for dinner she would let you have them haha she's not kidding either. Theresa is one of those people who is pretty much ok or down for anything :)
 Loving on Adriana
I am sure Kodie is thinking what on earth does this kid have in my face, go away! haha

We hung out for a few hours then headed home for baths and dinner. I ordered pizza because I was so not in the mood to cook. I am pretty sure Dave and the kids didn't mind, they love them some pizza.
This was the sky on my way home it was SO pretty.
This is out of order but while we were at my parents house Dave and Alayna went outside to blow bubbles. Everytime she comes to my parents house she wants to blow bubbles and mom always has some there. They really enjoyed some quality father daughter time.

I would say our saturday was pretty darn good and ended it with some Breaking Bad (our new addiction) then off to bed. We always stay pretty busy when the kids are here which I don't mind but man I am TIRED. haha I just always want them to have a good time so we make it a point for that to happen.  Oh and I asked Logan what his favorite part of the day was and he said the babies. It wasn't just her that loved them he did too. He thought they were just so cute and kept going over to them to look at them.

The kids just left and Logan gave me a hug, how cute. Seriously a year ago he wouldn't even talk to me haha now we are buddies.

Hope yall had a great weekend. I will blog about our Sunday later!!

Getting pinned

So remember when Dave left me for a week to go to Virginia? Well when he was there he earned his warfare pin from SPAWAR, This past tuesday he officially got pinned by the Captain at the award ceremony. I almost didn't get to go but so glad I did. A couple of people in my group got awards also so I got to see them get theirs.
The Captain (next to him above) said really great things about him before she pinned him. Basically she said anytime they needed anything they could count on him to get it done and always have a smile on his face. I will say one thing about him, 99% of the time he really is happy. He has a very positive outlook on life even when things get rough.
That is one happy guy right there!!!
Our Executive Director, Dave and the Captain.
Getting pinned!
So proud of him and glad I was able to help him study some and be supportive of him. According to my aunt the people who have support at home with these tests are the ones that normally achieve great results. She does testing for the Coast Guard so she knows what she's talking about.

We decided since the day was special we would go out to dinner. I had also got an award (on the spot award) for working on a project back in November. He said we were celebrating both of our accomplishments.

Red Lobster is his favorite place and neither of us had been in years. I'm not sure if I just never paid attention before or not but holy expensive!! The food was good but dang, we probably won't be going back anytime soon.
Our food was VERY good so it wasn't totally a waste :) those shrimp tacos were heavenly and slightly spicy.
And of course we ended the date with a selfie, because why not!

I am so proud of both of us for always working so hard and always doing our best. It doesn't hurt the resume to add awards/accomplishments :)

1 year

This past sunday marked 1 official year of Dave and I dating. We had been talking longer but due to personal stuff on his end we waited awhile.
Here are a few pictures taken over the year that I just love. The one in the middle  is our very first picture together which of course I love. This year has been full of ups and downs and things that tried to tear us apart but we are stronger than ever and I truly don't want to spend my life with anyone else. I won't make this post sappy but he really is amazing to me and I never knew a guy could treat me this great. Obviously I dated a good bit of not so great guys before and I was so over dating but he pursued me and I am so glad he did.
So about our day. We woke up late so we finished Lost and I got in a workout. We got ready then headed to get some Kicken Chicken-one of our faves.

I was a happy girl, margaritas on the rocks with salt. Yum!!
He was looking so serious watching something on the tv! It was probably sports, I have no clue.
We ate YUMMY food, they made my tenders extra saucey which made me happy. I hate when they don't put enough wing sauce on.

We headed to my parents house after that to pick up pictures and hang out for a bit. Dave ended up helping mom perform surgery to her Imac, glad he is so willing to help. He loves my family and that is huge for me.

The puppies, well 2 of them, Kodie and baby Chase!
So while they were doing surgery I went through my closet. 2 huge bags for Goodwill later I felt pretty good. I also brought a bunch home too. There's still summer clothes and some I don't fit back into yet at the house.

We headed home after a few hours and saw this pretty sunset happening. It was a pretty pink by the time we got home but I didn't get a picture.
We put together our new picture collage and hung out the rest of the evening.

Such a great day with my boy, I am so lucky to have had a great guy find me and not give up on me!! Love you boy!!

Valentines Day

Valentines this year was definitely special for me. Dave gave me my flowers and chocolates on Friday night because hey why try to hide it just to wait until Saturday. He got me really pretty flowers then we went to Kirklands and Old Navy for some shopping. He spent some money on us and our apartment. We are obsessed with Kirklands thankfully they have their spin it to win it, military discount and their rewards. Anywho we headed home to chill because I didn't feel my best that day and was definitely lacking in energy.

Saturday we woke up luckily I was feeling better so I  headed to the gym to make sure I burned some calories since I knew this weekend would have lots of yummy food involved. I was right too because I  definitely didn't eat great this weekend with all this chocolate around :)
I went to Pinterest to find some cute Valentines graffic and loved this one lol it isn't really valentines but it's lovey and cute
This was what I got Dave, He wanted this picture awhile ago and of course Kirklands for the win, I found it in the sale rack then had all my discounts so it was really cheap. He was really excited!

So yeah like I said I got my workout in and then I was lazy and watched The Notebook for a few hours. He took Teddy to get groomed then went grocery shopping. We had a late lunch then headed to James Island to see the fam. We went by my Grammy and Aunt Susans house to see them for a little bit. My sister and the girls were already there so I am sure all of us visiting was nice.

Then we went over to mom and dads to hang out for awhile. Krystal and Oliver were there so I got some nephew snuggles too. That is never a bad thing.

We hung out for a few hours then headed home and grabbed some Zaxbys on the way. I got a zalad and he got the honey bbq boneless wings, his was WAY yummier than mine. After we had dinner he went back out to Walmart then came home with this cute little monkey for me, yes I am 28 and still love these cute stuffed animals.

My sister took this picture of Oliver earlier in the day and I added the love to it. Isn't he just the sweetest?? I love this little guy!
My friend Chelsea just started selling Jamberry and I got my first order in the mail so I had to try it. I am still not great at application of them but they are still awesome. I think growing out my nails a bit would help them look even better. I got a few designs and I can't wait to try them all out. It may become a new addiction but hey at least I would be helping out my friend :)

Valentines was a great day spent with the people I love and there is nothing better than that. I hope you all had a great day full of love too!!
