Stress with a big side of soccer

Stress is unfortunately the number one feeling I have had recently and unfortunately it will probably continue until October 12th. Let me just say building a home is stressful and the loan is even more stressful. My goodness.... I am pretty sure this has given me heart palpitations or I am having a legit heart attack... either way not really a good time.
There is LOTS of excitement in there with that lovely stress but until we close I just have to accept this one. We are going to start packing probably this weekend. We don't have a lot of room to put things so packing too early will not be any help to us.

Anywho let's talk about something better shall we!

Thursday night I had dinner with this 3 month cutie and her mom. We met up at kicken chicken like the good ole times when Kelly and I went there like once a week. It was nice to just be us girls and get to chat about any and everything.
Friday morning we had a legit fire alarm, I don't think there were flames but there was definitely some smoke coming from one of the machines. Either way we were stuck outside for 2 hours which was just an awesome way to start the day. I did get almost 5,000 steps on my fitbit by 8am which was pretty darn good.
We got the kids Friday evening then stopped by the house, first selfie in our new house with our new mirrors!

Saturday was nothing but soccer, seriously we had a game and pictures in the morning then went back later for Logans pictures and game. The games were 30 minutes from our house so it really did take up the majority of our day.

I am not sure how but my phone took this by itself, I didn't do it but found it later!

Sunday started out in the gym after a mile walk with Teddy. This is one thing that has been helping the stress level for sure plus just overall good for me. I will miss this gym being so convenient but I am hoping to set up some kind of system in our garage so I can get in good workouts easily when I am short on time. Luckily for me I do mostly workouts with my body weight and 5-10lb weights so really it is doable but I do like to add in some extra stuff on occasion. We will see how much room there is in the garage once our cars are in there because we at this point do plan to park in the garage.

Please pray for us that the process gets lets stressful.... 21 days and it is OVER so luckily it isn't too much longer!

Soccer, IKEA, house and alligator....

Blogging about last weekend and half way to the next weekend.... this week is flying by and I am definitely not complaining!
Last Thursday I finally got to see Alayna play soccer. I knew I was going to miss her very first game on Saturday so I went to her practice kinda to make up for it. She has a LOT of energy which is a good thing but her attention span is a little short, but hey she is 6 so what else should we expect. She did pretty good though and was filthy and sweaty at the end. We have them this weekend so we will be doing soccer most of Saturday because their games are in Moncks Corner and spaced far apart. Like Alaynas is at 11 and Logans is at 4:30...Saturday will be a long day!

Friday afternoon/evening our apartment complex had a pool party with food, music, games and a raffle. Most likely that was my last time in the pool, it was already getting chilly so I think gone are the days of the bath water temperature pool. I really enjoyed it even though I was the only person there solo. It was relaxing and I won a prize (selfie stick & $10 gift card to starbucks).

I went to bed early which I do pretty much anyway but I knew I needed to be up early because mom, sis and I were heading to IKEA.

We filled the car with all kinds of stuff. I was mostly there for stuff for the house and more specifically the kids rooms. I did good and stayed pretty close to my budget which I was happy with. The stuff I got for Logans room will really help with organizing and we are planning to put labels on toy bins to hopefully help him with cleaning up. We shall see if it works but it certainly is worth trying.

We stopped by the house on the way back home to drop me off. They were prepping the drive way which was cool. Dave and I went by last night and we had floors, a drive way, electricity, water, all the light fixtures were in place, door handles etc. I think the only thing I can see they have left is to re-paint, put in all the shelves for the closets and landscaping. We have 28 days to closing which I am beyond happy about! We have a LOT to get done but hey it will all work out I am not going to stress it!

Sunday morning I took Teddy for a walk and saw the neighborhood alligator, this time he was a little closer than normal.

Dave and I headed to church, Costco with daddy, then to their house to unload furniture we got and hang out for a bit. We came home later so Dave could do homework, this criminal justice class he is taking right now is definitely more demanding of him time which is an adjustment. I think Sunday he worked on homework for a good 4-5 hours at least. We found out recently he is on the deans list so I know he is doing well in his classes.

Hope everyone is having a good week, I think the rest of ours will be rainy but I am sure we need it!

What a weekend

This weekend was definitely an eventful one! Last week we knew we were going to be getting some weather which ended up turning into a hurricane which eventually downgraded to a tropical storm. Work ended up closing Friday and we got the kids Thursday night since we weren't really sure what Friday would look like. So better safe than sorry for drop off so we did it Thursday. Thursday in the gym Dave hurt his neck somehow and pretty much couldn't move and was in a ton of pain. So we have a injured Dave, a tropical storm and bored kids in the house Friday haha yeah it was fun!
Thursday night she got out some energy out before our boring Friday!

Friday morning Logan and I ventured to Walmart to pick up some stuff for Dave and he ended up getting a truck too! I worked out for about an hour and the rest of the day was just simply a lazy day!

Saturday morning was absolutely beautiful and the temperature was just as nice! I took Teddy for a long walk then we went to the base for hair cuts and lunch!

We went down to JI later and hung out with mom and dad! We went to Lowes and picked out our fridge which makes us both SUPER happy!! It is awesome and definitely an upgrade to the one we use in the apartment!

I will be buying this pergola once I save up, I love it!!

Sunday the boys stayed home while the girls went to church and after some lunch we met up with our Newmans at the park to play!

Unfortunately when we got home Alayna wasn't feeling well and ended up having a 101.5 fever. Monday we took the kids to their mom then went to my parents house for dinner. Alayna ended up getting sent home from school yesterday and tested positive for strep.... praying nobody else gets it because strep is so NOT a fun time!!

This weekend is looking like IKEA for me, mom, and Shannon!! yay!!!
