Whirlwind few days

Last Sunday Dave and I got the phone call that no parent heck no person ever wants to get. Alayna had been in an accident, she fell off a golf cart and was being transported to MUSC where we would know more. Dave not being a local didn't realize until we told him but if they transport you to MUSC things are not good. Luckily we were at my parents house which is 10 minutes from the hospital so we were able to wait there until we knew they were almost there.
We really didn't have a whole lot of details so when we saw her getting out the ambulance it was a bit of a shock for us. It was very emotional for a few hours not really knowing a whole lot except she had a bad concussion.
Turns out she had a severe concussion and there was a fracture in her head along with an air pocket. The rest of her body was bumped and bruised but otherwise ok.
 In the ER

Monday we spent the majority of the day with her in the hospital and even Logan got to come visit. Him and I decided to head to my parents house for a bit because Dave wasn't ready to leave for the day but I needed out of that room for a bit. We kept him that night and took care of him tuesday regarding school.

Her smile when she found out she could LEAVE!!

They kept her 2 nights and 2 whole days in the hospital because she kept puking and had no appetite. Tuesday she was able to eat a little, hold it down and walked a little so they decided she could leave.

She came straight to our house from the hospital because I was going to keep her on Wednesday while everyone went to work. I can work from home so it worked out perfect.

She had a pretty great day! She was still wobbly but doing good. Lots of tablet/tv time, my parents and Lola brought us lunch and hung out for a minute and she got a basket of candy and balloons delivered to the door!

This weekend should be interesting keeping her from doing too much because mentally she is ready to go back to normal but physically she isn't there just yet. This has been a crazy week but we are just so happy she is OK and should have no long term issues from her accident.
