Jam Packed w/ FUN

Whew what a weekend! We had lots of fun this weekend and I am beat! I won't have a chill weekend for a few weeks so I guess I should just get used to it. You can sleep when your dead right?

Friday I got the kids early, came home for a little bit then met up with our friends at the N. Charleston Riverfront park to play.
We loved getting some Isaac time, he is seriously the cutest!
One of the huge container ships went by, the picture doesn't do it justice, it was HUGE and made me feel tiny.

After a picnic dinner and playing at the park we ventured over to the splash pad area. This didn't last too long thanks to the mosquitos but for the 30 mins or so we were there they had fun. The water was a bit cold so Logan didn't really play in it but the others did.

I am thankful to have such good kids for Logan and Alayna to get to play with.

I love this man of mine and that pretty sunset in the background.

Love these 2 ladies!!

Saturday morning I walked Teddy and worked out then Logan did some homework. Around 1030 Soccer Saturday commenced. Alayna played at 1130 but we left the house at 1030ish then Logan played at 230.

After soccer we went to JI and hung out with the family the rest of the evening.

Sunday was church with a tailgating competition after service. Dad and Mr. Ricky made a TON of bbq which was delicious and my lunch for today :)

The kids had a ton of fun with the inflatable football toss.

Grammy, Theresa and David came to church too which was really nice! I love the pic of mommy and Grammy!

Lots of corn hole was played even if it wasn't properly played everyone had fun tossing the bags.

On our way home from church we made a pit stop by the base to go visit Charlie the "officer in charge of complaints". This was the first time the kids and I had seen him, all 600lbs of him! He was MASSIVE! He also had lots of smaller alligators, I say smaller they were still large in my opinion. We thought this was SO cool, Dave was shocked in the almost 10 years I have worked here that I had never seen him but I had not. I am sure we will visit again one day!

We got home and had planned to go to the pool but they officially closed it since summer is over. We decided to go back to the Riverfront Park for a little bit just me and the kids. Dave had car issues this weekend so he went to get an oil change and a new battery. The park didn't last too long because the water was freezing.

We got home, had dinner, Logan did more homework, chilled then the kids went back to their mom. Dave and I tried to stay up to watch Fear the Walking Dead season Finale but we lasted 10 mins. This weekend wore me OUT! Next weekend is going to be all about packing and the weekend after will be moving our stuff and setting up the new house. That is if Hurricane Matthew doesn't throw a wrench in our plans. Fingers crossed that big guy stays out to sea and doesn't touch the US.

Have a great week!!

Stress with a big side of soccer

Stress is unfortunately the number one feeling I have had recently and unfortunately it will probably continue until October 12th. Let me just say building a home is stressful and the loan is even more stressful. My goodness.... I am pretty sure this has given me heart palpitations or I am having a legit heart attack... either way not really a good time.
There is LOTS of excitement in there with that lovely stress but until we close I just have to accept this one. We are going to start packing probably this weekend. We don't have a lot of room to put things so packing too early will not be any help to us.

Anywho let's talk about something better shall we!

Thursday night I had dinner with this 3 month cutie and her mom. We met up at kicken chicken like the good ole times when Kelly and I went there like once a week. It was nice to just be us girls and get to chat about any and everything.
Friday morning we had a legit fire alarm, I don't think there were flames but there was definitely some smoke coming from one of the machines. Either way we were stuck outside for 2 hours which was just an awesome way to start the day. I did get almost 5,000 steps on my fitbit by 8am which was pretty darn good.
We got the kids Friday evening then stopped by the house, first selfie in our new house with our new mirrors!

Saturday was nothing but soccer, seriously we had a game and pictures in the morning then went back later for Logans pictures and game. The games were 30 minutes from our house so it really did take up the majority of our day.

I am not sure how but my phone took this by itself, I didn't do it but found it later!

Sunday started out in the gym after a mile walk with Teddy. This is one thing that has been helping the stress level for sure plus just overall good for me. I will miss this gym being so convenient but I am hoping to set up some kind of system in our garage so I can get in good workouts easily when I am short on time. Luckily for me I do mostly workouts with my body weight and 5-10lb weights so really it is doable but I do like to add in some extra stuff on occasion. We will see how much room there is in the garage once our cars are in there because we at this point do plan to park in the garage.

Please pray for us that the process gets lets stressful.... 21 days and it is OVER so luckily it isn't too much longer!

Soccer, IKEA, house and alligator....

Blogging about last weekend and half way to the next weekend.... this week is flying by and I am definitely not complaining!
Last Thursday I finally got to see Alayna play soccer. I knew I was going to miss her very first game on Saturday so I went to her practice kinda to make up for it. She has a LOT of energy which is a good thing but her attention span is a little short, but hey she is 6 so what else should we expect. She did pretty good though and was filthy and sweaty at the end. We have them this weekend so we will be doing soccer most of Saturday because their games are in Moncks Corner and spaced far apart. Like Alaynas is at 11 and Logans is at 4:30...Saturday will be a long day!

Friday afternoon/evening our apartment complex had a pool party with food, music, games and a raffle. Most likely that was my last time in the pool, it was already getting chilly so I think gone are the days of the bath water temperature pool. I really enjoyed it even though I was the only person there solo. It was relaxing and I won a prize (selfie stick & $10 gift card to starbucks).

I went to bed early which I do pretty much anyway but I knew I needed to be up early because mom, sis and I were heading to IKEA.

We filled the car with all kinds of stuff. I was mostly there for stuff for the house and more specifically the kids rooms. I did good and stayed pretty close to my budget which I was happy with. The stuff I got for Logans room will really help with organizing and we are planning to put labels on toy bins to hopefully help him with cleaning up. We shall see if it works but it certainly is worth trying.

We stopped by the house on the way back home to drop me off. They were prepping the drive way which was cool. Dave and I went by last night and we had floors, a drive way, electricity, water, all the light fixtures were in place, door handles etc. I think the only thing I can see they have left is to re-paint, put in all the shelves for the closets and landscaping. We have 28 days to closing which I am beyond happy about! We have a LOT to get done but hey it will all work out I am not going to stress it!

Sunday morning I took Teddy for a walk and saw the neighborhood alligator, this time he was a little closer than normal.

Dave and I headed to church, Costco with daddy, then to their house to unload furniture we got and hang out for a bit. We came home later so Dave could do homework, this criminal justice class he is taking right now is definitely more demanding of him time which is an adjustment. I think Sunday he worked on homework for a good 4-5 hours at least. We found out recently he is on the deans list so I know he is doing well in his classes.

Hope everyone is having a good week, I think the rest of ours will be rainy but I am sure we need it!
