Weekend Recap

You know you are a slacker when your weekend recap shows up on a Wednesday! haha my bad!

So Friday I took the day off work. It was the BEST decision ever! I slept late then headed to the beach just for a walk though. The wind was kicking my butt so it was definitely a work out. That night I babysat for Josh. They are moving in a month or less now and it SUCKS!! I am going to miss the heck out of them!!

Saturday.. I ended up at the gym for a nice workout. Then I went to a bbq competition my dad and some of his friends were entered into. It was fun CRAZY windy again but yummy food. The ribs were the best which they got 1st in. The bbq and the chicken they got 3rd in! It was SO good even the hash and rice were good and normally im not a huge fan of hash and rice. It was so nice out there. A storm was coming in (small storm) and it was beautiful!

Sunday I slept in AGAIN! yes my weekends are for sleeping in. And I will enjoy this until the day I MAYBE have kids. I ended up having lunch with Shannon, Isabelle and Lola at East Bay Deli which was yummy. Then we walked over to the South Carolina Aquarium which was EXPENSIVE. But we all had a lot of fun so I guess it was worth the $20! After the aqaurium we went to Target, Saw the Easter Bunny at the mall. Poor Izzy HATED the EAster Bunny! I felt so bad for her. I grabbed her from Shannon so Lola could see him and she was shaking. I was like dang girl it's not THAT bad! After that we went to Coastal Community Church for their evening service. It was a good service but there were not a lot of people which surprised me. I liked Pastor Chris' comment about there's something in the water because people are falling in love, getting engaged, married at Coastal. I looked at Shannon and said I needed to find the waterfountain. haha Would be nice! Although I am not looking for anything right now It wouldn't be bad if it found me... maybe it already has...

Well there is my weekend!! It was fantastic and I can't wait for more just like it! Spent pretty much most of it with my family!

{one} how often do you do laundry?
One time a week. I could go longer than that if I had more workout clothes

{two} what is your favorite type of cookie?
Chocolate Chip cookies!! Yum!! I love them made from scratch

{three} what would you do with an extra $2000 per month?
Move out on my own and not have a roomie


{four} what was/is your favorite subject in school?
I hated school until Senior Year. But Senior Year I loved history, science and math.


{five} have you ever ridden in a hot air balloon?
No but I would absolutely LOVE to do it. I seriously can't imagine how awesome that would be.


{six} what was your high school mascot?
Our HS Mascot was a Trojan *not the condoms*


{seven} if you had the chance to go into space, would you?
Nope. There is not one ounce of my being that would want that.

{eight} how often do you go dancing?
Never ever. I am NOT a dancer!


{nine} would you rather drive or fly?
If it is less than 8 hours away driving then I would say drive. Any further and I would much rather fly.


{ten} have you ever been caught re-gifting?
No I have never re-gifted. I have given away stuff but not as a gift.

Happy Hump day everyone!! The week is almost over thank God. literally!

Last night my mom and my aunt officially booked our flights for our Memorial day weekend trip. I have never been to DC so this will be a first. I wanted to go when my Aunt Christine lived there for I believe a year. But just never made it. So now I get to go with my mom, Aunt Susan and my Grammy.

We are flying in and then driving to see my Aunt Shirley who is my grandmothers sister. I haven't seen her since I was maybe 5 so that was almost 20 years ago give or a take a few. It is fun how you remember things but my last memory of her is when she came back to Charleston from Hawaii and brought me a ukulele and I was dancing in my grandmothers living room playing the darn thing.

Anywho we are then leaving her house and heading somewhere forgot where then heading to DC. I believe we are going to be in DC for 3 days? I could be wrong on this one. I seriously can't wait though.... tons of museums which honestly I heard are awesome. I am just wondering how I personally will like them. I am one of those people that walks around a museum and looks at everything but I am not one to sit there and read all of the things in front of them. I guess I deprive myself of the true experience.

I am excited to see everything including the 3 pictures below. I know there will be tons more to see! Prepare for TONS of pictures. I need to make sure I take my extra memory chip for my camera.

Other than that there is not much else going on. I have a weekend recap that I will probably work on later today. Probably tonight... there are so many pictures from this past weekend that It will take me a minute to do the post. I know I am lazy right? As if posting pictures on the blog is "hard". Weekend Recap

So this weekend was pretty darn good just like all the others I have been having lately. It must be the fact that it is spring time in Charleston. I love it although the pollen is slowly making it's way back into our lives. I wish the rain would come back and wash it away. Friday night Kelly and I were in dire need of time together. I mean we lived together for 14 months and now we see eachother sometimes only once a week. It is not cool but we both get busy and she goes out of town on most weekends. Anyways we went to a FANTASTIC Northern Italian Restaraunt Al Di La http://www.aldilarestaurant.com/ I had a fantastic New York stip with Mashed Taters, and veggies. We also shared a cheese plate which was to die for and the bread was AMAZING! Kelly had a few cocktails and she enjoyed them very much. Picture Below. Saturday was my very good friend Julies Baby shower. She will be having baby Marlow in 5 weeks or less. She looks great for being almost 9months preggo. The shower was really cute and I think everyone enjoyed it. After wards I took Angel home, me, Josh and Angel all colored the picture at the bottom. And I also took that super cute picture of Angel and Josh that I just love. I will miss them terribly when they move to St. Louis! Sunday I went to the gym then shopping with my Aunt Susan. I spent too much money accidentally... oops! but luckily I am still good all the bills are paid! AND I am almost done paying off my credit card. The end of this month will have a $0 ballance!! :D I am excited about that! Aftwards I made brownies and my friend Chris came over to hang out and fixed my laptop!! YAY!! It hasn't worked for a couple of months. Little did I know it was one small click and a million updates! Now I know what to do IF it breaks again... I say break loosely! Thanks Chris :) Below are pictures....

Silly Cousins

I have absolutely NO clue why my pictures ended up the way that they did. But they are already on here so I am not changing them! lol So yesterday after work I headed to my favorite spot in Charleston. If you follow my blog at all you have seen pictures of this place many many times. However the difference this time is I went with my beautiful cousin Amanda. We had a great time after some drama went down. We had fun especially trying to take our "jump" pictures! It is hard when you are short... don't catch as much air. Here are our pictures!! They are silly I have a TON more on FB but here are some of my favorites. enjoy :)

5 ? Friday

1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

I think I would try to change my insecurities. My main one is weight obviously that is most women there. But it is getting better since I have been working out. I have seriously toned up and just feel all around better.

2. Write about a time when you got lost.

Um... I don't remember a time I got "lost". Maybe in the grocery store as a kid looking for mom but I wouldn't consider that lost.

3. Camping or 5 star hotel?

I would probably say 5 star lol I am a huge fan of nice beds and showers! Camping would be fun but not my first choice. I have camped before and did have fun but I felt gross the entire time

4. Have you donated blood?

I have donated blood 2 times. The 1st was at work and everything went great! So great I did it again for the 2nd time at another location... this time was HORRIBLE. I don't know why but I almost passed out. It could be a number of different reasons why but I haven't done it since... I should probably try again though. It is good to donate blood.

5. Do you have a budget or do you 'fly by' most months?

I don't budget. But I also only have myself to worry about... no husband or kids. However, on payday I always pay ALL of the bills I have due in that 2 weeks before I get paid again. That way I never have to worry about something not getting paid. Plus I don't have to think about it again.

Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday! Yes I am happy and it is monday! Something must be wrong! haha So this weekend I must say was fantastic!!! It's been awhile since I had one of those. Friday night I got my car fixed after 10 months. My gas gauge had been broken so it is nice to finally not be looking at the gas light and check engine light now. After that I went over to my grandmothers and ended up going out with my aunt and her boyfriend for dinner. We had bojangles it was pretty tasty. It has been awhile since I had that. Saturday I was gone ALL day! I woke up at 7:30 and got ready to head to my friend Ashleys house. I was with her 13 hours I am sure she was ready for me to leave lol maybe idk! haha I doubt that. Anyways, I went with Ashley, her son Jesse and her sister Lauren to the Summerville Flowertown Festival and it was really nice. Just a bunch of vendors mainly kid stuff and home decor. It was still fun however I bought nothing. They bought a couple of things so it was good! I think we all ended up with a little pink on our skin. We then went to Ye Ole Fashion for a yummy lunch. Then off to Babies R us and Target. Later that night we had some VERY yummy steaks, veggie casserole and yummmmmy brownies!! It was the perfect end to a perfect day. I was supposed to babysit but that got cancelled because my friends husband was on call for work!

Sunday Was a really nice day outside. I was heading to the gym and took a detour downtown. I did a roughly 3 mile walk and it was gorgeous. I went along the Battery google it if you have never been to Charleston. The sea breeze was just amazing I was still sweating but it helped. I took a couple of pictures since I was by myself and had my phone.

I took this picture while laying down on a bench. Look at that pretty blue sky The Infamous Pineapple Fountain. There were tons of people playing around it. I was shocked that my picture only had 3 people in it.

Again laying down for a minute! yes I am lame and take pictures of myself. But hey its me and I am ok with it! lol

After my walk I headed home to shower up for church with mom, dad and Lola! Overall a great weekend!!!! Love my life and I am glad things are feeling good again. Or shall I just say better!

5 ? Friday

1. Have you ever had surgery? I don't think so unless I was a baby I am pretty sure the answer is no.

2. Ever ride in an ambulance? Once. My co-worker who has major health issues started to feel very weak and couldn't walk. She was thinking she was having a stroke. I never really found out what happened to her but she was out of work I believe 3 months. But I rode with her to the ER and stayed until her mother came.

3. How are you in a medical emergency? Panicked? Calm? Panicked!

4. Do you have a garden? Flowers or veggies? Nope! They would probably die because I would forget they exist.

5. When did you move out of your parents house? July of 2009 and moved back Oct 2010. I hope to move out sometime maybe at the end of this year. I just need to find a roomie. The only reason I moved back was bc my roomie was broke. I must admit I like it except for living with my sister. She is hard to deal with regarding certain things. But mom and dad are great! Plus kodie loves having the 2 other dogs. He has pretty much fallen completely into their routines and being just like them. He didn't bark EVER until we moved home. SO weird!!! I figured he was a mute but he is definitely NOT a mute.

Happy Friday! Super happy because my car is getting fixed today. I have had a broken gas gauge since JULY! Every 300 miles I fill up and so far so good :)
