Day trip to AC

Day 3 of our trip started out really fun, insert sarcasm here. I was woken up around 6am with this horrible pain on my finger which then turned into a severe itch. I was trying to look at it without waking up Dave but that was unsuccessful. It was a spider bite that happened while I was sleeping. Which by the way is still not fully healed but way better than it was.

 And I thought this looked bad haha yeah it got uglier.

We got up and went about our day after I found some Benadryl cream.

 We started our day in the gym with his nephew which was fun. Then we got ready and went to his brothers because we were going to Atlantic City with them for the day.

 Our first stop when we got to AC was the Absecon Lighthouse. I was so excited they were down to go do this especially since we didn't get to climb the Cape May lighthouse. There were 228 steps to the top but the view from the top was worth every single second of leg pain.

 This ended up being one of our favorite parts of our entire week and it was only 45 minutes of the trip.

 After the lighthouse we went to the Borgata hotel to have lunch and gamble a little. I didn't win anything but we still had fun. His brother did win some playing Roulette so at least someone left with more money then they came in with.  

 

 We went to the boardwalk after the casino and the weather had changed significantly, dreary and cold. We got Dave 2 hoodies and I got a shirt while we were out there but besides tacky tourist stores, casinos and restaurants there really was nothing else to do out there. If it had been warmer out we would have stayed longer and explored a little more but it was just too cold.

My sis in law and me with a huge Gorilla. We went by the rainforest café to see his step dad and sister with her boyfriend and their 2 kids who were also in AC that afternoon. We were all supposed to meet up and hang out more than 10 minutes but it just never happened.

 

That night we hung out for a little bit then headed back to the hotel to attempt to get some sleep. Sleep is one thing I didn't do well on this trip. Going from a comfy king bed to a double bed is just not easy.

 

It was a pretty great day and we had a lot of fun with Joe and Jess.
