Velocity

Wednesday afternoon Dave picked up the kids, came by and got me and we went to have fun at Velocity. The kids had done well lately with certain things in school so Dave told them he was rewarding them with this trip to Velocity. It wasn't crowded at all so I decided to join in on the fun.

To say we had fun would be an understatement, we will definitely be back but only on a weekday!

Parade, shopping, new things

Saturday morning I got in a workout, Dave and I cleaned up the house a bit then my sister and I headed to Park Circle for the St. Patricks day parade. It started out quite chilly but in the sunshine it was just the right temperature.
The festival officially began with the parade which sucked 3 years ago but this time it was really good! I definitely want to take the kids next year for the parade and a little bit of the festival.

Chocolate with potato chips and a lemon blueberry doughnut were the only things we ate there. The lines were long and the food was a little pricey. I think we both agree the lemon with blueberry was the best and the other was just meh. You have to try it though to know for sure so duh we tried it!
 Festival selfie

We went to lunch then did some shopping after we left, my feet were killing me by the time I got home. I was wiped out, it's been a LONG time since I did that kind of shopping. Even MB didn't make me that tired but I guess I can blame the festival too.

I got some new turtle décor and 2 new shirts from the festival. I love the one with the dog!

 Full Moon!
I bought Teddy a new toy and he has loved it but he has almost ripped the tail off. He normally doesn't care though this much about a toy so I would say it was a win and only $3.

I also got a few new things for the house last weekend. I got both the pink and white flowers at Homegoods and I absolutely love them. I caught Alayna trying to smell the pink ones yesterday it made me laugh. I guess she is just used to me always having fresh flowers not fake in the house. I also got the picture hung up and I absolutely LOVE how great it fit the space. $12 win from Hobby Lobby! I love finding deals especially when whatever I have purchased looks great in my house.

Dave and I were at church until 1 on Sunday then we went home to get some stuff done before dinner at Angels house.
We hung out, ate some delicious bbq, slaw, corn on the cob cooked on the grill and garlic bread. We played a game that required creative thinking which I lack but I did OK then we headed home.

It was a really busy weekend and I didn't get to go by my parents house which kinda bummed me out. I was hoping to get by there this week it just never happened. But obviously we have this weekend coming up so definitely plan to go hang for a bit. The boys are going to Nerf Wars again on Friday night and honestly Alayna and I may just order pizza and watch a movie. Basically just CHILL! Hopefully it's a good weekend and the temps start going up again because this cold weather is not cool. Well I guess it is COOL but I am not a fan haha 28 degrees on my way to work, NO THANKS!

Have a great rest of the week!!

Moments from last week

Last week was a super busy week to the point I wanted to start saying no to things but it wasn't stuff I could really say no to. I made it out safely haha
Wednesday was a busy day at work and I went in to get my hair done. I always love the outcome but I am not really one that enjoys the process. Sitting for 2 hours just isn't my idea of a good time, anyone else? I am really liking the red, it was a bit vibrant at first but either it's faded or I am just used to it by now.
Thursday night Logan's school had a presentation where each kid dressed up and memorized facts about an influential person. Logan was Nikola Tesla and he looked SO handsome especially with the mustache.

Alayna and I walked around to other classrooms to see more presentations. The kids all did great but I have to say Logan seriously was one of the absolute bests and I am not just saying that because he is my step son. He legit did an AWESOME job! We were all so very proud of him!

Dave and I were starving so we stopped at a new place for dinner. His chicken and waffles were pretty delicious and my entrée which was scallops and whatever it was underneath just wasn't all that amazing. I doubt we will be going back but hey at least we tried it. Plus it was pricey... no thanks!
Friday night we did absolutely NOTHING which was so needed! We really do have a lot going on the next few months, mostly fun stuff but still the fun stuff can wear your butt out too!

Sunshine and lots of fun

This past weekend really was a GREAT weekend jam packed with fun. I already blogged Logans birthday party we had on Saturday night but the rest of the weekend has lots of blog worthy pics!
So Friday night Dave and Logan went to a local rec centers first ever Nerf Wars event! To say Logan had fun would be an understatement. They had ABC News there and both boys were on TV which made Logan feel pretty darn special.
Since the boys were doing their own thing I figured Alayna and I would order pizza and watch a movie or something. I was going to let her decide though since it was her night in my opinion.

I asked her what she wanted to do and she said she wanted Isabelle to spend the night. They haven't spent time together in awhile so I hopped on the phone and next thing we knew we were meeting up at Ihop for dinner and to get Izzy. We had dinner, came home, showered, painted nails then they played and watched a movie.
Unfortunately for me I was in the fetal position sick from dinner, luckily it was JUST for the night because I was so worried it would ruin Logans party. It will be awhile before I eat at Ihop again!

Saturday the kids played all morning then we met up for lunch at Chik-fil-a to drop off Izzy but have lunch with them first.
We had to run some errands before heading home.

I bought some flowers at Walmart so I wanted to get them in the ground before the party. Luckily I did this because I ended up not having time Sunday to do them.

After the party Dave was moving around Xbox's and dropped one on his foot, OUCH!
Alayna and I were watching the Kids baking challenge on Food Network before bed, I love this show!! Shortly after this picture she passed OUT and then moved on to her bed.
Sunday morning we went to church then Hampton Park with my mom. Dave stayed home because his foot was so sore from dropping the xbox on it. That wasn't keeping us home lol

It was such a beautiful day, I really enjoyed the park for the hour or so that we were there and I loved that mommy went with us. We got some lunch then headed to their house to hang out for a little bit.
Alayna passed out on the couch so Logan took that opportunity to ride in the mini cooper without his little sister begging for her turn. He rubbed it in her face later too, gotta love it! haha
Logan was loving this caterpillar in moms yard, he wanted to touch it SO bad but mom encouraged him to leave it alone. He listened.

We got home and the kids played with Dave while I food prepped then we went grocery shopping and Logan spent some of his birthday cash.
We got back and Alayna was dying to go on a bike ride so I told her we could go. She wiped out at one point and I figured the ride was over but she brushed herself off and got right back on. I was shocked, she is starting to be a little more tough.

After the kids headed back to their mom I got the tea set I brought home from my parents house all set up. It was my Mama's tea set and I finally have a house I can put it in. I actually love how it adds a little more character in that room. I just pray the kids don't mess with it. We shall see!

I loved our weekend and look forward to many more just like it!
