Chill weekend followed by a beach day

Last weekend it was just Dave and I, we didn't really do a whole lot but we did have some fun.

Friday after work Dave got his hair cut then decided to finish it off himself and he was BALD. I hated it at first but it grew on me a little bit. I still don't love it but I don't hate it if he wants to keep doing it. Definitely would save us some money which would be great. I am all about saving money.

We went and grabbed dinner at Phillys and saw the prettiest rainbow!

Saturday we worked out, grocery shopped, then headed to my parents house to hang out and watch football. We had wings and I made buffalo chicken dip. Why does buffalo chicken dip automatically go with football in my mind?

On the way home we saw some very pretty sunset skies.

Dave went to go pick up a weight bench before he got home. So far we really like it and especially days like today where we are stuck at home we can still workout since we now have this along with the treadmill.
Sunday night we grilled steaks and both had a drink on the porch. SO relaxing especially now that the weather isn't so dang hot anymore.
Monday we had off for labor day and we went out to Folly with my parents and their friends. It was absolutely a beautiful beach day. Shockingly there weren't that many people too which made it even better.

Daddy spotted a dinosaur down the beach so I grabbed my phone and walked down to see him and obviously it was a great photo opp.

We had a late lunch early dinner with mom and dad, Bohemian Bull but we got it to go. We hung out for a little bit then headed home to get ready for work. It was the perfect end to a great weekend!! I need more beach days but I think they are pretty much over.

Park and grilled cheese

Finally getting around to posting the rest of our weekend with the kids almost 2 weeks ago! woops!
At church Sunday they had a tent with tables set up for all the small groups starting up this fall. One of my favorite ladies Prisca made the BEST grilled cheese we have ever had. I am pretty sure Alayna ate 2 or 3 sandwiches. In fact we all ate them so it ended up being our lunch.

After church we went over to my parents house then headed to the James Island County Park to play for a little bit. It was really hot and bubs was all over the place so we didn't stay too long maybe 45mins-1hour.

We had dinner then headed out to drop off the kids and get ready for the week.

Wednesday we went to Krystals pool which was a bit chilly. Only the kids swam mostly because I just didn't feel like it. But Dave was having issues with his ear (see below) he kept bleeding from his ear and finally went to medical Thursday. Apparently he scratched the inside of his ear with a Q tip, insane! After getting it cleaned and getting a prescription he was good to go.
Never a dull moment around this joint! Speaking of, there is a hurricane out in the Atlantic we are watching. Good times!

Family Beach Day

I don't know if it is the "cooler" weather or what but I feel like it's crunch time to get all the summer fun done and quick. I told Dave we needed a beach day, a trip to the pool, maybe another go down the slip n slide and whatever else that says summer. Let's be real though summer hardly ever truly leaves Charleston, it's cold only a few months out of the year.
Friday I had planned for us to get the kids and head to the park under the bridge to play then watch the sunset. Mother Nature had other plans for us unfortunately.... it POURED and we had lake front property for an hour or so. Luckily it drained quickly but it still ruined my plans for the evening.

Saturday morning we hung out around the house for a bit then after lunch drove almost an hour out to Kiawah to play at the beach. Shannon and Lola met us out there too!

It was a great yet windy afternoon at the beach but we enjoyed every minute of it.

Dave and I are hoping to go to the beach on Monday with some friends if all goes well!
Next weekend we could be dealing with Hurricane Irma unfortunately but it is still early to tell. After seeing what happened in Houston this hurricane has me very nervous. We probably won't evacuate unless its a Cat 5 headed right towards Charleston but we shall see.... weather is one thing you absolutely can't predict.
