Sunday Fiesta

Sunday was such a great day like REALLY great day. I woke up early (shocker) and took Teddy for a walk at 7am. It was so quiet and peaceful until a huge chocolate lab came running at me. Of course my initial instict is fear but she just wanted to play. Luckily she went back to her yard peacefully and we continued on our walk. I don't like to assume a dog isn't friendly but when their owner or anyone for that matter isn't around you can't be too cautious. 

 Once I got back and did a bit more of a workout in the living room I got everyones breakfast ready. I even made Eggs, turkey sausage and biscuits for me and Dave. The kids always want poptarts or waffles, but Logan did eat some of the sausage. That kid is growing he has been eating a lot more than normal lately. 

 I wore a new Old Navy dress to church and ended up being so comfortable I wore it all day. I am pretty sure it was less than $20.

 We had lunch at home and hung out for a little bit after church then went to JI for a Fiesta birthday party for my mom and sister. First we stopped by my parents house to hang out, the kids scored a few fun toys since my mom went to the Disney Store the day before. Lucky kiddos. 

 Krystal, Vincent and Oliver came there first too so we got to hang out with them a bit too. I wish that first picture wasn't so blurry but isn't it just so cute though. 

We went to Shannons at 5 for the party, she did a really good job decorating, it was fun!

Dave was trying to teach Lo how to do a back flip but she kept getting nervous. haha they still had fun playing around on the trampoline. With my ankle it will be awhile before I can jump on it again. boo!

 Isabelle saying the prayer, she is too cute! We got to eat after she was done. Tacos, pinwheel taco things, enchiladas, taco salad, dips, watermelon and chocolate chip cookies. Can we say YUMMY!!! Aunt Theresa also made her punch which I love so I was happy. I didn't eat as much as I wanted to thanks to trying to lose weight but don't you worry I still enjoyed enough of the yumminess! 

 These 3 have such a good time together. I think Lola has fun with them too but she is a little older so she may not be as much of a fan haha they all got to have a pool party friday night like I said before and Logan talked about it all weekend. They love when Lola and Isabelle are around.

I didn't get a picture with Krystal the other birthday girl but she was there. I didn't take as many pictures as I could have but we were having fun!

Oh I made them a cake which actually turned out pretty good and it's not too heavy/fattening. Take a 20ounce can of crushed pineapples and a box of angel food cake mix only those 2 ingredients together put into a 13x9 pan at 350 for 30 mins, SO good! We had it with vanilla ice cream but I bet whipped cream would have been good too. 

It was a really nice party, just us family but I loved it. Great way to end the weekend! :)

Heat wave

Whyyyyy must the weekend be over?? :( they always go by so fast, especially the fun ones. 

Friday night Shannon and I went to a Mary Kay party at Norrissias for a little girl time. Dave had all 4 kids for 3 hours, bless him haha I had fun and definitely enjoyed time with Nor and my sis. I got some face wash, eyeliner and cologne that smelled ah mazing for Dave. 

Saturday was my mommys birthday so of course I had to call and say happy birthday before the day really started. We celebrated Sunday (thats another post) it was really nice!

So anyway, We had breakfast then we ran some errands after the gym which included a haircut for Logan. He now loves getting his haircut which I find funny but hey for $10 it's worth it. Look at that smile, he does that the whole time. 

We got home had some lunch then cooled off at the pool. First time I actually got in the pool, it felt great. Normally it's freezing but because it's been SO hot the pool was warmer. Alayna was thrilled I was in the pool and I was the shiny new toy haha 

This picture cracks me up for some reason. She is getting more brave which is good and bad. We sometimes have to tell her to put her swim tube back on because she ventures further from the stairs than she should. I think she wants to be a good swimmer like Logan. I would love to take them to swim lessons but we don't have them often enough to do that.

Ashley texted me while we were at the pool and invited us over to come play and have dinner. We love our Newmans so duh we were going. 

Someone was sleepy and used Mickey as a pillow. Haha silly boy! Luckily after a monster drink he joined us at the table and we got to enjoy some adult time before we had to leave. I love that the kids love playing with Jesse. I hope they are friends for a very long time. Alayna was so excited to know she would see Jesse at church the next am. 

Mr. Newman always hooks us up with yummy food off the grill. So darn good!!

We got home had baths then we were all OUT!! Sunday was another great day, i'll blog about it later.

Weight loss update

This is what I started my morning with, finally getting to the 130's even if it's only by .3. I haven't seen this in well over a year and I can't even describe how happy this makes me. I have been working my butt off to get here.

 I have been eating really clean 90% of the time the 10% has been the random oreos or Alaynas left over bday cake that I randomly had bites of YUM ;) orrrr the roll I had a bite of haha so definitely not doing this perfectly but this way is working for me. I will say though I think soon I will need to cheat my clean eating with some pizza! 

My muscles are really starting to show and I love it!! I am finally feeling that excitement I used to get after workouts and seeing my efforts paying off. 

I am still taking a few of the advocare products but had to stop the max phase because something was making me sick and I couldn't pinpoint it. I take the omega plex which is a fish oil and the catalyst which I believe is a fat burner technically.  

So one of the things that has realllllly helped my sweet tooth are Quest bars. My absolute favorite is the cookies n cream! Dave is obsessed with the white chocolate raspberry which is quite yummy. As you can see we have a lot of them, keeping GNC in business ;) haha 

So down 17lbs since January and excited to see where this all goes. If I stay where i'm at I am just fine with that but we will see. 

Sorry if this stuff bores you but as i've said before this is my online diary to an extent so this is mainly for me!

Riverdogs Baseball

Last night we went with our Church to a Riverdogs baseball game. The weather was questionable that afternoon but we got lucky and it cleared up. I may even say it was NICE outside for once, not humid at all. 

We got there about 20 minutes before the game started so we took the pic above and went to the store and Dave got a cool hat.

Dave and I took Jesse and Isabelle over to the kid area and they loved it. It wasn't crowded luckily. Ps. Going to a random weekday game is awesome, NO crowds!!! You go on a friday and there are tons of people!

My Lola, poor thing had a bad ear infection but still had fun with us. 

Charlie came over to where we were sitting and stayed for a good 15 minutes. At the end Izzy said they were BFFs and Dave was no longer her BFF haha

She is a mess. Someone near us was eating peanuts and we took her to walk around. She found a jump castle and lucky for her I had $2 for her to jump.

We left around 8:30 because we are old and go to bed early. We had so much fun with our friends and getting to chat with people from church. It was definitely a good time, I hope they do more events like this in the future.
