St. Louis day 8

My very last day in St. Louis... sad times! We woke up early and headed out the house! We had to fit in more sightseeing before I left for Charleston. My flight wasn't until 5 so we had a bit of time! our first stop was the Arch. I had been dying to see it and was thinking about taking the elevator to the top. BUT it was booked up so no such luck, darn! haha I wasn't all that disappointed but I would have definitely done it. George was willing to go with me so I would have had to act tough even if I was scared out of my mind. haha After we explored the arch and the museum we headed for lunch at Hooters. Cardinals fans were all over the place! There was a game around noon so it was cool to see. They really are some hard core fans up there!

Me and my Amish bonnet. I was excited to see some Amish people too! That was another first for me!

I think he must have had a little captain morgan with his breakfast :)

I am the spec at the bottom of this picture

After lunch we headed to a park which was really neat! The pic below is the courthouse with the arch behind it. And I just love the blue fountain in the pic too! Apparently they make it turn all sorts of colors throughout the year.

After the park we went back to the Budweiser brewery and made it in time for a tour! And guess what? It was FREE! :) with 2 FREE beers at the end. But the line was long and we had to leave.

After the brewery it was time to head to the airport. Actually we had a lot of time but ran out of things to do and it was too far to go home and then the airport. I ended up getting to the airport 2 hours before my flight and got through tsa in uh 5 mins! can we say boredom? The rest of the night was like this because I also had a 3 freaking hour layover in Atlanta. I finally got home at almost midnight! Exhausted!!! Such a great trip and I can't wait to go back!!!

St. Louis day 7

Day 7 was another Sara Angel day. Josh was not feeling very well and was being a bit whiney so we ended up leaving him with George. Which I was ok with since I got Angel all to myself! haha

We ended up going out for lunch at a place called Penn Station to have my very first Philly Cheesesteak. It was quite yummy and apparently I won't be able to have another one like that until I go back to St. Louis. After we ate there we went to Ted Drewes which apparently is uber famous for its custard I think it was custard anyway. We both got a mini concrete which is what they called a mini custard and it was SO filling. The rest of our day was up in the air so we left it to the british bitch aka the garmin. Gah we couldn't stand her but she kept us going where we needed to go. We ended up at the Anheuser sp? Busch Grants Farm. This was really neat it was like a zoo and they also had the Budweiser Clydesdales. They were so beautiful and HUGE. I know I am short only 5'1 but goodness they are gigantic! We had such a great time and the weather was getting chilly so thank God I brought my new coat. :)

I ended up being talked into feeding these damn goats a bottle of milk. Can I just say I hate goats??? They are dirty and try to eat your clothes. But hey I can say I fed them and got some funny pics.

This is the pic that basically tells you IM DONE WITH THE DAMN GOATS! haha

after the farm we ended up going to the Budweiser Brewery but they didn't have any more tours leaving for the day. So we went in their gift shop and looked around their little museum.

That night we went to an Irish Pub called McGurks and it was AWESOME!!!! I was still crazy full from lunch but I got an appetizer. Fried beef ravioli YUM and we all got a piece of bread pudding. I normally hate bread pudding but this stuff was beyond amazing. If you ever go to St. Louis GO to this place.

St. Louis day 5

Day 5 was a day of new experiences! We went to Eckerts farm and went apple picking! It was so neat I had never done that before. They were the best apples I have ever tasted. I mean really they couldn't possibly get any more fresh than that. I also got to feed carrots to a camel. Really who can say they have done this? Ok a few people im sure haha but it was a first for me. It was creepy their lips? felt SOOOO weird! I didn't like it but I had to do it!

That night Angel made manicotti sp? for dinner and it was SO amazing. Also, we made an apple pie with the apples we had picked. Can we say YUM??? It was hands down the best apple pie I have ever eaten. Good job Angel :) I was glad I had gone for a walk around their neighborhood before dinner. It was nice got some time to myself, listened to my ipod and got to see all the new houses and they are NICE! We ended the night watching Black Swan. WEIRDEST MOVIE EVER! Just saying!

Day 6

Day 6 was mainly shopping! In fact I think it was only shopping! We went to a mall Angel said was ghetto and to my surprise it was NICE. Heck anything beats the malls in Charleston THEY are the ghetto ones. I spent too much money but had a great time. Josh and I even rode the little train in the mall. It's amazing the things you will do when you are out of town. I won't lie though I enjoyed it just as much as he did. Plus I got to window shop from the train. We also went to a little nascar speedpark thing inside the mall and that was cool. Angel and Josh rode some little kiddie ride but everything else was unfortunately closed until 3. It looked like it had a really cool race track too so unfortunately we didn't get to do any of that.

Angel and I ended up shopping at another mall later that night. She had some stuff to look for and it was easier to look without Josh around.

I was DONE spending money!
