Let me just tell you something about me and Josh. When I first started working out with Angel (his mommy) he liked me and found me fascinating but would NOT want me to hold him or anything. He would cry if his mom left him in the room with me. And no I didnt take it personally hes just one of those babies. But NOW is a whole other story, he just loves me to pieces as I love him to pieces. Yesterday we played on the floor and no tears were shed even when mommy left the room. I would say we are making progress. Once Angel saw how well we were playing together she said it was nice to know if something comes up she finally has someone in Charleston who isn't family who could watch Josh. I'd say that is def a good thing. :) So today I will go play with little Josh oh and workout too! haha Angel and I worked out HARD yesterday. We beat the HECK out of Bob. I should take a picture of bob. Everyone always thinks hes a real person. Sorry I do not physically beat up people.

Frustration

I am so frustrated here today at work. I have this HUGE program that I use here in the library and its on a network. WELL the network is going away... So my old process for uploading cd's onto the OLD network was simple. 1. put into the cd or dvd drive 2. click an icon 3. wait for it to copy 4. tell the dude and he did whatever he did. WELL that part 4 is no longer the dudes deal its MINE! So he comes in my office yesterday to tell/show me how to do part 1 of number 4. HAH he was the WORST teacher... I was WAY confused and he was like oh its simple you can do it. Well I put it off yesterday because just the THOUGHT of it stressed me out. SO today it must be done... I hope I don't screw up but at the same time his instructions were HORRIBLE. Just pray I get this done. I have been praying my butt off about this and im feeling a little more comfortable. But still.... I understand not all people are meant to "teach" but dang he was SO hard to follow. I kept saying " so what your saying is this...?" then he would go on a spiel about something else. ok so enough of my rant/prayer request. Just please pray that I can get this done and done correctly. And if I don't let him "teach" me more accurately next time.

Weekend Wrap-up

Well another weekend has come and gone. Why must they come and go SO quickly? I feel like life needs to S-L-O-W down!

Friday night I went out with Angel to Cinebarre in Mt. Pleasant. Its a theater where you eat/drink and watch the movie at the same time. Overall the food was good. I got a chicken sandwich and some fries, Angel got some special pizza. The only thing is I didn't like the seats not so comfortable! But thats ok! Its one of those places you go SOMETIMES! It was my first time there and im sure ill go back sometime in the future.



We saw the movie "It's Complicate". Such a good movie, definitely not a movie guys would like. At least I wouldn't think they would like it. Angel and I laughed A LOT! So go see it if you are looking for a funny girly movie.

Saturday I took Kodie to the vet just for some shots. Saw someone there who I just did not want to see. Then I went to my parents house and hung out there for a bit. Krystal, Mom and myself went a couple of places then to the Tanger. We got some new shoes the SAME shoes lol for our NYC trip. We are both getting so excited. And Dad is giving us some money for our Hotel (thanks daddy :) I really do appreciate it) So that was exciting too! We have our trip pretty much planned out and we are going to have a LOT to accomplish in like 2 days. As soon as we get there the fun starts. Then i went to the grocery store Bilo had a lot of good sales. Then Kelly and I went to our fave place Kicken Chicken! We were there 5 hours! SUCH a good time. We ended up with 2 guys at our table. Def not dating material but just cool guys to chat with.

Today I didn't do very much. Stayed home for awhile. Went to my grandmothers house and had lunch with them. Then I went to my parents house and spent some QT with them. Mom did my taxes which i'm really excited about. Not getting a LOT of money back but I could def use the money. Tonight im just hanging out. Watching Gilmore Girls im finally to season 4 out of 7. Theres a major storm coming our way it feels AMAZING outside so breezy.

Friday 5

So I was checking out one of my favorite blogs Jennas Jargon and she was participating in Friday 5 which is actually started on THIS blog! So I thought I would join in on the fun since work is very slow!


FRIDAY 5

1. What is better, growing old with out money or dying young and wealthy?
As long as I am happy when im old and poor then that would be my answer. I dont want to be young and wealthy but be completely miserable. NOT WORTH IT!


2. Who takes out the garbage at your house?
Most of the time I take out the trash but on ocassion Kelly will shock me and take out the trash. Most of the time its too heavy for her.

3. Have you ever had the same dream many times?
I have re-occuring nightmares about tornados. Never the SAME one but always including a Tornado. BTW I have NEVER seen a Tornado.

4. Can you play a musical instrument?
Nope!

5. If you owned your own store, what would you sell?
Cutesy girly things! Lots of polka dots and stripes and fun colors and patterns. No idea what the actual product would be though.

2010 Handbook

Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.

NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!


Ok I have NEVER been to New York City ever! I have hardly been up North. 3 years ago I did go to Missouri for Thanksgiving but thats as far North I have been. And we did NOTHING touristy so it hardly counts. Anywho, my sister Krystal asked me to go on vacation with her and we decided NYC was the destination! We will be going in 2 weeks!!! We plan to stay around Manhattan, go to Times Square, Walk around central park, go to FAO Shwartz ( I so butchered that spelling), Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center, Maybe Empire State building etc! We will only be there a couple of days so we basically won't sleep in order to see EVERYTHING in 2 whole days. We get there on a Thursday evening and leave Sunday morning. short trip but it will be fun! Im going to see if we can get tickets to go to one of the late shows or Saturday night live or SOMETHING cool like that. We shall see!!!

CAN'T WAIT! Although, I will miss my Kodeman a lot but his grandparents will be babysitting :)

Happy Birthday Harper

OK so its really a happy Belated Birthday to Harper. Her mom Kelly did a post with a video her husband made. Oh my gosh as soon as it gets to when Harper opened her eyes for the very first time I cried. Im sure everyone who has read the blog for the last year did too. Just wanted to share!

3 day weekend

I love 3 day weekends!! Thank you Martin Luther King for Monday off!

Friday didn't do too much. Hung out with Angel after work but nothing after that.

Saturday mom and I got up real early and left for Myrtle Beach at 7:30. It was just us good mommy daughter time! I enjoyed it a lot. We did some power shopping and got some really good buys. The shopping up there is SO much better than Charleston. Plus they have different stores. If I had more money the QVC store would have been my place. They had a TON of stuff especially purses. :)

Today I went to church then Costco with mom and dad. Typical Sunday morning :) Then I came home and had to clean up dog poo from ALL OVER my bathroom. He likes to poop and walk in it.... I am NOT a fan of this action. Then we went out to Kiawah to Carolina Girls (kellys weekend job) and got some Vera Bradley. She gets a discount and she got me the CUTEST wallet I can pretty much use it as a clutch. SO cute! We got Starbucks (best caramel frap in awhile) and headed to my parents house. I enjoyed hanging out there for awhile. I always enjoy my time with the fam! Tonight Kelly and I just hung out!

We have a new neighbor who ALWAYS happens to walk outside when we are out there. So weird its like he knows when we go outside. But its not a horrible thing just weird. hes SO cute and has an irish accent.

Interesting Blog

Still talking about Haiti go read THIS blog. This family is actually IN Haiti and blogging about their experience. It's honestly interesting finally seeing a first hand account NOT on cnn.com or any other news network.

I also heard that if you want to ship anything to haiti (shoes, clothes, canned goods etc...) you can send it today via UPS for FREE.

2 Years ago.....

2 years ago today we said goodbye to my mama at her funeral. I honestly think about my mama A LOT! It makes me so sad that she is not around anymore. She was an awesome grandmother. I wish I had spent more time with her in her last years. The alzheimers just made me so sad. I hated seeing her like that and at the time in my head I just didn't want those memories to be the ones I had of her. When in reality I was just being selfish. I should have gone to visit for HER not JUST for me. She just loved to have people visit her and talk with her.

Mama, I miss you so much and you will FOREVER be in my heart. Such a wonderful woman of God. And one of my favorite memories with you was Bible school. I was probably around 7 or 8 and you took me to your churches bible school. I was so scared because I didn't know anyone and you stayed ALL week with me. You even helped with the crafts and everything. I love that memory with you. I love you forever and always.

This is what most of Haiti now looks like.....


I am sure if any of you watch tv or search the internet you already know about the earthquake in Haiti. Last I heard this morning they suspect 500 THOUSAND people are presumed dead. I just can't even wrap my mind around this.

Compassion is a missions group who have people serving all around the world, including Haiti. Kelly Stamps has a blog up on her page about Compassion and Haiti. If you donate money to either the red cross or to Compassion leave a comment on her blog. For every comment she and her family are going to donate $1 up to $1000. If you want to donate the easy way text disaster to 90999 or to donate to the red cross text haiti to 90999 OR click HERE . If you do the text its a $10 donation. Wordless Wendesday

FROZEN

OK so I live in South Carolina Charleston to be exact in case yall didn't know. And let me just say it has been unbelievably cold here. I swear I don't remember it being this cold hardly EVER. There was frost everywhere today! I'm so sick of being so cold. Not to mention Kodie is SO not a fan of being cold he actually shivers.

Anyways, I had a great weekend! Friday didnt do much after work. Saturday went out shopping with my sister Shannon and Lola didn't spend much money. Just lunch and a case of water at target. That night Kelly and I got moes and watched a movie. Today I went to church which was really good. Then I hung out with my parents all day. Shannon and the babies came over for a bit. Lola and I went to the park in my neighborhood and FROZE. No lie we were both ready to go after like 30 mins.
I went and saw my friend Amanda whom I like never see. It was nice to catch up a bit. She gave me an awesome pluff mudd shirt. Seriously they are so cute! Her family makes them owns the business and all. Go to www.pluffmuddapparel.com I think thats the website. Mom made some dinner too Sausage and rice, cream corn, peas and yummy rolls! And I got leftovers for work which makes my tummy happy. :) Below are pictures of Lola and I at the park!

What SHINED in 2009! I got the title from my sisters blog.

1. Moved out with Kelly for the very first time ever.

2. Got a puppy whom I love

3. Got a new niece/God Daughter who is SO great

4. Started going to church more :)

5. Removed some people from my life and I tell you I have been SOOO much happier

6. Improving everyday at my job and impressing a lot of people. Higher up people!

7. Speaking of work I got 2 awards for outstanding performance

8. Gained a relationship with one of my sisters

9. Grew up

New Years Resolution: Do better managing my money. Im not hurting or anything but I need to stop shopping and just be more independent.
Maybe lose some weight but that is not a big deal as long as Im healthy.
Be a better Christian and a better person all around.

Brrrrr its Cold Outside

Ok so im pretty sure I live in South Carolina but this week you wouldn't know that. Its FREEEEEEEEEEEZING outside. Yesterday I had to deliver mail in 27 degree weather let me just say that SUCKED. My nose was FROZEN. However, Today I am in my nice warm office taking a little break from all that piled up over the last week. I hate that about covering other jobs, I can't get my own work done.

This past weekend was a great 3 day weekend. Friday I went ice skating as I previously posted. Saturday I took Kodie to the vet, he has worms. EWW! But we are taking meds to get rid of them. I went with my sister her hubby and their kids to a new restaraunt on James Island called Smokey Oak. Oh it was SO good they had the best wings and mac n cheese. Try it if you live around here. That evening I went shopping with my sister got some really cute baskets to organize my stuff and it worked. Very cute!

Sunday I went to church. I love my church! Then had a family lunch and went home and chilled with Kode man. That night I went to my friend Angel's house for red beans and rice and it was SO good.

Btw I think starting at the end of January ill be helping with the youth on a regular basis. Im terrified and excited all at the same time. Pray for me because im SCARED!! I just don't want to mess up but really all that is expected of me for awhile is to hang out with them and when I feel led I can do more. :) No pressure!

Happy Birthday to me

Christmas 2009

My Christmas pictures are FINALLY posted! :) I have some more So I will do another post. Christmas eve I stayed at my parents house which was fun and woke up with them Christmas morning. We went to Shannons house with all the girls gifts and there was a TON!! Those little girls are SPOILED. Then at 1 all the family came over for lunch and we opened presents and just had a great time with each other. That night I stayed in my bed watching Season 1 of Gilmore girls. I LOVED that gift. It was by far my favorite present. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I know we sure did! Sorry the post isn't longer but its time for some Hoppin Johns *southern thing*
