Happy Birthday

TO ME!!!! Today I am 23 years old! How exciting right? Well nothing really exciting about turning 23 at least I havent figure it out yet. :) But regardless it is MY birthday and thats just good enough. Unfortunately I have had to work today delivering mail in this crappy weather. It's dreary outside but luckily NOT raining. After work im going to pick up Kodie and go to my parents house for Birthday festivities. Really its just hanging out with the fam with some food and some yummy cake! :) Mmm Chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. YUM YUM!!

Tomorrow I am going out with Angel and possibly some other girls. We are going ICE SKATING! WOO!! I love ice skating and how exciting because Angel has NEVER done it before. I tell ya she is truely becoming one of my very best friends. <3 I think we are doing lunch and barnes and noble with the skating. Dinner tomorrow night is the traditional Hoppin johns (sp?) EWWWW! But mom makes me eat them every year. Does anyone else have to be forced to eat that stuff?

Meet Kodie

So I guess I got my Christmas wish after all. His name is Kodie and he is a Boston Terrier Mix. Im hoping the vet can tell me what he is mixed with on Saturday.

I went to Columbia this weekend to see The Shults family and yesterday morning looked on Craigslist and saw this bundle of joy. He is 7 weeks old and never been to the vet but seems healthy to me. Lola is actually the one who named him and I thought it was just a really fitting name. I hope to soon have better pictures of him but its hard to take a picture of a puppy who only sleeps. :)

Last night he was in his crate all night and woke me up 3 times which isn't bad. Kelly said he was REALLY loud today so I hope the neighbors dont completely hate me. But I want him crate trained and this is just how it will be for a few days I guess. It will be worth it in the end. One of my old friends used to use a kong with peanut butter in it so I might try that too. We shall see I just hope I dont screw him up. haha I have little faith in my parenting skills. But I have plenty of people giving advice. So if any of you have advice do share!

Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone! I hope you all have a great one doing whatever tradition you and your family have. After I get off work in about 40 mins im going to do a LITTLE bit of shopping then going to see New Moon! Yes I FINALLY get to see the REST of New Moon. You might remember the last time I went to see it my sister got sick. So halfway through right before a kiss we had to leave. BUMMER! But my sister is making it up to me and taking me after work. SO YAY!!!!

Tonight im going to my churchs ROCKING CHRISTMAS EVE service!! I am totally stoked its going to be fun! I always love Christmas Eve services, missed it last year :( stupid ex bf. lol

THEN I am spending the night at my parents house. You know I have not slept there since July 30th. HOW WEIRD! Kelly stays at her parents house a LOT for some reason. lol but I have for some reason just haven't. I mean theres never really a reason I live 20 mins MAX from their house. But I am excited to stay there tonight. Although I am NOT excited to pack... lol yes ONE night but I have a LOT to bring. Sad Sad!!


One more thing! I have this friend Adam who lives in Spartanburg. He knows some dog breeders for BOSTON TERRIERS! They already had puppies that would be ready in January. OMG if the price is right I am SO THERE!!! I have seriously been dreaming about a boston terrier for MONTHS. So im crossing my fingers that I can afford it! :)

Christmas Tree Time

Last night Shannon, Lola and I went over to my parents house to decorate the tree. They had lost the stand thats why it is just now going up. But its all up and pretty. We had a good time decorating and the tree has a TON of ornaments on it. Lola enjoyed getting to put them on and some of them ended up on the floor. I don't think they are broken just maybe chipped a little bit. After decorating the tree, Shannon and mom went to publix. Lola and I made some Cinnamon muffins and watched lots of Phineus and Pherb on Disney. You know that show is actually quite cute. I still LOVE the Disney Channel. I doubt ill ever grow out of that one. Plus they have awesome movies.

I am SO ready for Christmas around work to be OVER. I swear I have gained a thousand pounds lol. There are always cookies, doughnuts, cakes, fudge etc. Its killin me mainly because its mostly all homemade. You can't turn down homemade ANYTHING. Ok I can't. Ill be happy when this part of Christmas is over. :)

Prayer Request

Please pray for my new niece Isabelle she has RSV and is really sick. We are hoping she gets over this rather quickly and with no complications but she is still so young. Please just keep her in your prayers. Lola just got over Bronchitis and I think Shannon is getting a little head cold too. I just hope they are all feeling good Christmas day. That would just stink if they didn't.

BTW the pics below Kayce (KDS Photography) took a few weeks ago. I meant to post them but I have been SO slack lately. I'm going to attempt to be a better blogger. Enjoy these two beautiful girls! Kayce you really do an amazing job!! I seriously can't wait for a reason for you to take my pictures. :)

SNOW SNOW SNOW!!!! The last time I saw "snow" was like 5 years ago but it was machine made snow. The time before that it was probably when I was in middle school. I WANT TO SEE SNOW!!! LIKE REAL SNOW! My aunt Christine has been living up near the DC area for over a year now and she sent me a ton of snow pictures. I wanted SO badly to go put on a coat and go make snow angels and just play! :( sometime soon I must travel somewhere and see the real stuff. Not FAKE snow!! My Weekend

Well its Monday AGAIN! *sigh* However, it is Christmas week which is really exciting.

Friday, work was SLOW then I headed to my parents house to see them before they left town. WELL, the rain was ridiculous all day. There was flooding like everywhere. They decided to head out of town Saturday morning early because the weather was SO bad. But they went to a Christmas party so I decided to head home. Well that was all fine until I was literally STUCK on James Island. 2 of the 3 exits were closed by cops and I didn't want to go through the country to get home. So I had a good visit with my grandmother and my aunts. When I finally was able to leave it took me 45 mins to get home. RIDICULOUS!!!

Saturday, I went shopping with my 2 aunts. They spoiled me a little which I was completely fine with. Saturday night I started my fudge making. I made 2 batches of fudge, wrapped the rest of my Christmas presents, Drank hot chocolate and watched 2 Christmas movies with Kelly. I would say it was a rather festive evening.

Sunday, Church was GREAT!! The series Pastor Chris is talking about is Forgiveness. I have gotten past a couple of things that I had been holding onto. An ex bf I forgive, an ex friend, other situations I forgive... Just the situations im over it and ready to move on with life 100%. I have honestly loved this series. Last week it was about forgiving yourselves for whatever it is that you haven't forgiven yourself about. God died for our sins and forgives us so we should forgive ourselves. Anyways, After church I went home (parents house) and enjoyed time with my family. Mom and I got A LOT of her gifts wrapped. The boys even hung out with us!! BTW did I mention I made 3 more batches of fudge! haha ridiculous!!


That's pretty much my weekend!! Can't wait for Christmas oh and my birthday is 10 days away!!!!!!!!!!! Ill be the big 23! :)

Fun Saturday Evening

So last night was definitely not what I thought it was going to be. I had planned to go to see New Moon and Go to an improv Theater but had a change of plans. Shannon and I went to see New Moon half way through she got REALLY sick with a bunch of pain. So we had to leave she was almost in tears. So we get out to the car and shes HURTING so I take her to St. Francis ER but they were packed and her pain sorta went away. So we headed to Mt. P to East Cooper her preffered hospital. We were there for about 3 hours she had a ct scan and turns out its just an infection that she can take meds for. So I saw HALF of new moon *cant WAIT to see the other half* and didnt go to the improv. But im just glad shes ok but we had fun watching movies and eating REALLY bad dinner in the hospital. lol Pic below of my dinner!

a little update

I really wish I could get creative with the titles to my blog. Lol Oh well I am just not really creative!!


Not a whole lot has been going on lately. Just working and working out with Angel. Her and I are becoming very great friends. She has been such a positive person in my life. <3

Yesterday I took the day off and did ALL my Christmas shopping. 8 hours with my Co-worker. We stayed in Mt. P and I got some GREAT deals. Then last night I went out with Angel and Kelly to Kicken Chicken in Mt. P and went bowling. Kelly didn't bowl because of her arthritis but Angel and I did. WE SUCKED!!! We never broke 100 she got to 99 though. I just did aweful!! Then Kelly and I came back home and watched a movie then I watched one before bed. I went to sleep around 2am!! CRAZY! I hardly EVER stay up that late, In fact I get joked with that im a grandma!

Today im going to have a GREAT day!! Im going to see New Moon with my sister. I can't wait I have heard its awesome!!!! THEN im going with Kelly and my friend Damien to Theater 99 its a comedy place downtown. We are going to see The have knots improv comedy!! I have never been to a comedy club before so im REALLY excited. :) Ill be sure to update with pictures and a review of the movie and club!!

Its begining to....

look a lot like Christmas.


The Christmas tree I decorated at work. It's not in my office its in the mailcenter. I don't have enough people come through my office for me to put up my own tree. Although I do have some snowmen lights up.


This is the tree in my apartment. Kelly and I actually have had this tree up since the begining of November. We were feeling very festive VERY early this year! We have more decorations up and ill probably post pictures of those later.

Yesterday I got to help mom put up their front porch decorations too which was fun. Although it was COLD. I need to learn to put the flip flops AWAY once it starts getting cold. They are just so easy to put on. I wore them to the after Thanksgiving shopping and that was also a big mistake. lol im surprise they didn't turn black from the frost bite. That definitely makes me think of Mr. Deeds (the movie).
